If an average person with a net worth of $75,000 were fined at the same percentage of worth that Tepper was…

I’m not sure how he “got away” with anything. He’s got a lot of egg on his face, and the league fined him. If I were the Jags, I would ban him from my stadium, but that’s up to them. The fan can also report it to the police, but that’s up to them and it would be pretty petty. In reality, the fact that he is so rich actually opens him up MORE to some frivolous lawsuit over a tossed beverage. This probably happens with normal fans at stadiums all the time and nothing ever comes of it and we never hear about it specifically because they are not rich public figures like Tepper.

I can't believe everyone is having such a hissy fit over this.  Is the Tepper a douchbag, absolutely, but the fan is probably just as big a douchebag to be up there talking trash to him.  Both in the wrong Tepper should have known better and now he has embarrassed himself for his actions.  His actions have absolutely no bearing on my life.

For the same reason people scrutinize political figures for things they say and do. When you are part of an organization and have as much influence as you do, the understanding is that you conduct yourself in the manner of your position.

I've always tried to conduct myself as an adult with respect for others.   I don't put higher expectations on people because of some sort of social status.  At the end of the day they are just people and they are going to make mistakes, just like the rest of us.  I just don't see this as some traumatic event some want to make it out to be.  Does not mean that I think he is a good owner or defend him in any way, but I see people making some pretty strong accusations about him based on this incident and I personally don't agree with the level of judgement being leveled by some.  To each their own.  I can only control myself and try to live my best life, but I am sure I will make mistakes as well.

If they threw their drink on an NFL owner something would defiantly come of it.

You’d be looking at just over $1 fine. Factoring in Tepper’s value is >20 billion with a fine of $300,000. This just shows you how much wealth he’s sitting on and how meaningless this fine is. It also shows if you have enough cash you can get away with just about anything.

What a joke.

This is also what is wrong with society.  Rich people can hire the best attorneys, post bail, etc. Poor people stay in jail, lose their jobs, and are poorly defended.  Their speeding ticket is $150, and my speeding ticket is $150. I have seen people get a ticket and their insurance went up, so they could not buy their kids winter jackets (I used to be a school administrator). And those rich people pay less tax, and the politicians they pay to make themselves richer want to dip into to your social security.  And half of you will vote for that because you are gaslighted to think the issues are abortion, second amendment, and border security--where was I?  The rich don't know what fair is--but they know they have to manipulate the poor and middle class to stay that way--this fine is how rich people think--they know that $300k sounds like a lot to us poor folk, but they giggle that is a slap on the wrist with a feather in actuality.

Is this a good time for me to say we should pay Burns 35mil per year?

At least we can put a lil dent in Tepper's pocket. Maybe he cuts back on the shopping sprees for Nicole.

Win/Win imo

Nicole does not count against the cap. (I know you were kidding)  Moton is due $30m next year, Burns wants to get paid, and Brown needs to be locked up long term.  Unfortunately, that does not help us get better because we have all those players now and without major upgrades elsewhere, we win 2 games in 2024.

I’m not even going to comment further because this will get tinderbox immediately if I say what I want to say in regards to the massacre of the unborn.

Again him throwing the drink on someone and then running off to the exit behind security is something a bitch would do

Seems like something you would do. Maybe you’re not so different from the billionaire chumps of the world.

    • The coaches want to win, but they know we’re not contenders this year and playing the long game with a guy coming off a torn ACL the previous November is the smart play
