How is JR sacrificing our short term success?

........putting Fox in a lame duck season where no legit FA would really choose Carolina over another team of similar caliber.....but it ain't like Richardson is going to allow Fox/Hurney to spend legit dough even if we could get some great players b/c Richardson is prepared to let this season flush down the toliet (saving money) and then go through a lockout and THEN start fresh and start spending w/ a new coach. Simple business. JR knows the money and fan support will still be plenty with Carolina treading water the 2010 season.

I'll say it now as I said in 2008. Fk Peppers. U ain't with us ur against us. We can go 8-8 without ya...Hit the road...I moved on since that day when he said he wanted to explore his options... his ass should have been on the Kerry Collins train outta here that day!... Fk him, he isnt greater than the team.... Soon as we take the 'me' outta team things will start taking care of themselves.

Sure it does, he's setting the stage, same thing he always does, and the reason so many used to think he's the man. He gets scoops because he spreads what he's fead. Jerry wants the word out that he isn't spending, and his boy is making it so.

setting the stage for what?

"Yeah, I don't think Jerry really cares about the team this year."

Jerry told him to say that?

Are you high?

If Stewart stays healthy, he is the better back... no RB in the league in the past 10 years or so punishes tacklers and breaks first contact like Stew does, and I say that with a straight face...

That said, we kind of need both to compliment each other...

Punishing running backs don't last long.

Stew can and does punish, but we're not talking Earl Campbell here (or, for you younger kids, Marion Barber). Stewart has more elusiveness and speed than the prototype power back. He is a smooth customer. He is more akin to Adrian Peterson than the Barbarian. Stew isn't one of thes backs which leads with his head. Don't get me wrong: He is a North-South back, but he probably slashes and dashes a little more, uses his vision to get past the first line, and as such is less likely to take a direct hit. As such, the opposition will be looking at his dust before they realize what happened.

Yeah, I completely disagree, but you are entitled to your opinion.
