I like that you put route runner.  it seems we don't value this trait too much.  We are looking at players that perform well in college but do not have the route running skills necessary for the NFL.

I'd rather a good route running speedster than a player that might be faster but runs poor routes.

Blame analytics for that I believe chasing the size speed specimen. When time and time again crisp route running will always keep a role in the league

Dave Canales will be available.

Think theres any chance they end up hiring one of Canales, Eviro, Slowik, Callahan etc without waiting for a second interview with MacDonald or Ben Johnson?

Nah, Tepper's number 1 guy is Johnson, no ways he hires a coach with out talking to Ben first.

I think Johnson is still the prize.

Wouldn't want to lose our on the best option just because we're impatient.

Doubt it. It’s probably going to be drawn out a little longer now. Too many teams would have interest in Johnson, Monken, and Macdonald to go ahead and snag one now out of fear.

I wonder when the first hire will happen, feels like Johnson might hold up the whole thing.

I think Falcons hire Belichick or Chargers hire Harbaugh in the next few days. I know both have interest in Johnson but I feel like they are kinda competing with one another on their HC pool.

No clue what Tennessee is doing, they are interviewing a bunch of randoms so who knows.

Seattle could go ahead and grab Quinn if that’s their guy. But they may want to hold out to talk to Johnson first.

    • That zone was so soft that 3 guys were bearly on the screen. No rushing called. Playing off the line 10+ yards. Yeah that's garbage time. It took an onsides kick to make them try to play D again. Until then they didn't care and still wouldn't play real D against Young until they absolutely had to and that was with backups in the backfield. Slow start is freaking hilarious. He was gifted the lowest effort a bad team can give and still couldn't put anything together for 1 freaking series at the end after 2 quarters of warmup ball. It was like watching someone stretching for an hour and then pull a hammy after 10 feet of running.
    • On the subject of Reich and him being no good as a coach, because he wouldn’t change everything he did to accommodate Young. He wanted to sit Young. He knew what Young was.  But to the point, was Andrew Luck a good QB under Reich in Indy? Most people don’t hesitate to say yes. Well, Luck thought enough of his coaching to bring him to Stanford.  There is a bona fide NFL QB that seems to dispute the painting of Reich as a incompetent and the reason for Young’s shortcomings.  Yes he got fired. It appears as if Tepper and Fitterer forced a QB he did not want on him and poisoned the well right from the start. I don’t blame Reich one bit for being pissed either.  And I wasn’t a Reich guy I wanted Wilks. I accepted the Reich hire but never lobbied for him.  Just saying he is being dogged here unfairly.
    • I think its a mix of both. Bryce being too small and offense is too vanilla. Plays arent creative enough. Most are slants, fades and runs. But even Baker and Sam had to deal with vanilla offense and looked horrid. Thats why I say it's a mix of both.
