SAT line looks good.

Would have liked to land Petterson because I think he’d have been really good with Jarvis.

Definitely need a shakeup trade wise.

The second line needs a lot of help.

This win felt gross. I don’t know. KK is Pool party bad at this point. Need to make a splash to add scoring.

Only line I like right now is:

Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen

I’d like to land a 2C and have:

Necas - 2C - Jarvis

Then go back to:

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Then:

Bunting - Drury - Noesen

Kotkaniemi can sit with Lemiuex until he gets his head right

I can definitely get behind this.

I still think Aho and Jarvis play very well together. Haven't watched much, but how often have we run svech, aho, and Jarvis together?

We definitely need another top 6 forward though. Then either sit Drury or KK

I don’t remember the last time those three have played together, it’s been a while.

But a top six forward is needed and ideally it needs to be a center unless the plan is to play Necas or Jarvis there.

We essentially have one 1C (Aho) and three 3C’s (Drury, Staal, Kotkaniemi).

I feel like it’s taking its toll on Necas. He needs more skill around him to be successful and I think Bunting and Drury are your prototypical grinders.

I’d have loved to acquire Petterson and assuming Necas and Kotkaniemi (for cap purposes) we’re in the deal, we could have run something like this:

Svechnikov - Aho - Teravainen

Trade - Petterson - Jarvis

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Bunting - Drury - Noesen

Lemieux

That would give us two scoring lines, one shutdown line, and a very talented fourth line.

    • Does this mean only topics from within the last year or any topics with posts from the last year? i.e. if there are any old threads we feel should be kept around for whatever reasons, would a bump of that thread before the update ensure it's kept around in full or do the posts from more than a year old still disappear?
    • I'm more intrigued at him becoming our future LG. There were some people who thought he was better suited to be a guard in the NFL to begin with.  Then if Freeling ends up being a legit LT, moving Ickey to LG could give us an incredibly strong left side of our OL for years to come. Ickey has only played on the Left side his whole career, both in college and the NFL, so I just wonder if keeping him on the left side, even if shifting inside, would be better than putting him outside on the right side. Just hoping him growing up a Panthers fan will make him want to stay here and move positions than enter FA so he can stay at LT somewhere else, particularly since LT is the big money position on the OL, so he likely can get paid more by someone else to play LT than play LG or RT here for us.
