Torts is not that far removed from being an RBA. Only difference is Torts lets his emotions get in the way.

Main difference is he’s a dick lol.

The style he runs is similar to Rod’s but his personality is much more a Laviollete.

And I think it works when you have a good team. Unfortunately for him he’s been saddled with Columbus and Philadelphia recently.

Back to Guentz, if it comes down to 30 year old him and 30 year old Skjei, I have to go with Guentz.

We’ve been searching for a player like him for a long time and while I love Skjei, the FO and Rod do a pretty good job at getting the best out of anyone that they put back on defense.

Yeah, have to agree with you here.  We would need to sign Chatty, but I have faith that we can find 2 other serviceable defensemen from our farm system or in FA.

I think there's plenty of room to get Skjei & Guentzel. Pesce will be gone, TDA as well and I do think Staal retires and if Necas or TT leave....

Wednesday looks boring but a couple big ones on Thursday.

The Rangers will either all but eliminate the Flyers or the Flyers will give us a fighting chance in the race for the president’s trophy.

Then the Pens and Wings will lock up in a matchup that should essentially eliminate the loser assuming Washington beats Buffalo that night.

Necas and Turbo have been playing pretty well lately, like Necas is skating really well and keeping the puck in the offensive zone for us.

I see what you are saying and if it all does play out that way we can sign Guentzel and Skjei and I hope we could retain one of Necas or TT.  I think TT will be cheaper than Necas.

    • Did you watch it? I saw stuff that was behind guys and stuff like that I thought it looked pretty average for NFL QBs but I am no PFF metric dog.
    • Haven’t watched the last two until last 3 mins of each game. Just been refreshing the NHL app. Do I change the mojo for tonight?
    • I feel like anyone within the Panthers fanbase no matter where they land on Bryce should agree on this. He's a good kid. He's intelligent. But ultimately is he going to ever be the guy to command a locker room? Obviously none of us can say. But I just don't get any alpha vibes from him whatsoever. Is that a dealbreaker? Not necessarily. Here's the thing though. We had the talk of his generational years ahead of his age leadership trait clubbed over our heads for weeks nonstop before the draft. But after seeing someone like Sam Darnold navigate life as a starting QB I think anyone here should be able to acknowledge homerism there are some similarities to Darnold in terms of personality. That is not what we were sold. All of this takes me back to before the draft. I just can't shake the sense that Stroud just rubbed Tepper or someone the wrong way. Was he too confident? Not subservient enough? Did they feel Bryce was more marketable and media savvy? My gut says these things weighed more into the pick than they should have. If not. Stroud more than likely would have been the selection. What's done is done though. I'm just like you though. I want to see some fire from Bryce at some point this season. But I'm expecting to be disappointed considering his first order of business following one of the worst rookie seasons ever was to detach completely and do nothing. As always. Hoping for the best. I feel like I have to put a disclaimer at the end of this post for the Bryce superfans. I want to see him do well. I don't want this to end in the worst case scenario. There now we can be friends!
