The Panthers keep making the same mistakes under new GM.

AT is old. He will need breathers.

None of our receivers will be on the field for 100% of the snaps. There's always a rotation to give guys breaks throughout the game. It has always been that way and is that way for every team in the league.

100%. I remember Reich calling the screen to AT when he was on the bench and had to use a time out lol.

I could make a pretty strong argument that AT will be a better player with fewer snaps, largely due to his age.  He tailed off significantly toward the end of last year, and yes, some of that was defensive adjustment.  Some of it was also that he was just worn out.

I would love to see AT turn into this years Ricky Proehl or Jerico Cotchery.

Yeah about that. What a FUBAR system that was. It appears Thielen was the only receiver Frank seem to be the primary read on damn near every play. It's either that or his was the only one consistently getting open.  It was like everyone else were decoys. I don't want to see an offense like that ever again.

Oh yeah. Keeping his legs fresh at his age is huge. Plus Mingo can slide to outside for depth or to relieve other WRs it’s just not his bread and butter IMO. He has the size for it though. I hope that Mingo can turn into a Godwin type primary slot WR.

Yeah that’s why I am curious to see these offensive players in a new system. Tremble, Mingo, Bryce, hell even Miles could look a good bit better naturally.
Tremble in the H-Back blocking role with Sanders (TE) in a double TE set could be interesting for some plays.

That offense last year was so predictable. I really don't know what the strategy was in the end. Did Frank not trust his qb? Did he not want the qb they selected? Did he not want a rookie at all? What the actual fug was the plan? He wasn't going to work on his qb's mechanics until year 2? What the actual fug is that kind of development? I have never seen a team go so sideways as this team did last year. I mean they weren't winning much anyway because the rest of the team was ass but damn! At least do something to show you give a damn.

In college he never got quick seperation.  Im not sure I could expect it to happen in the NFL.

Our quick passing game needs multiple elements a potential deep threat who can actually catch contestded jump balls with top notch speed was a perfect addition to our offense. We can't run out three of the same wide outs and expect to be a deceptive or productive team. Currently we can run either XL or DJ deep with confidence they'll make a play but we have our quick separator and our deep big jump ball catcher. We have to have WR with different traits to be dynamic.... Bengals...fast separator Chase Big jump ball WR Tee .... Eagles Fast separator Smith Big deep threat jump ball catcher AJ who happens to be fast asf.) We're following a winning module on how good wr cores are built.

    • Sometimes its fun to read the threads/posts.  The panthers could literally hire a groundskeeper and we'd have a thread "improving the field for no other reason to prop up Bryce Young".  Apparently no move is ever done to actually make the team better.  All a conspiracy to just focus on Bryce Young. Or suddenly daydreaming and reminiscing about Sam Darnold when he was hated more than Bryce Young.  Its really fun to do a message board search about Darnold during that time period.   Or thinking there is just a tree that grows QB, and you can just easily go up and pluck one.
    • Yeah okay. We as an organization have been more patient with him than many. And there has been a small parade of guys drafted since he was, also to bad teams, that have passed him. Some have lapped him. As a fan I am out of patience but he gets this year it is out of my hands always has been. I just hope the bar is higher than it has been for him.    FWIW, XL dropped two passes last year. He did do some other bad stuff, just saying.
    • Except it takes those QB's a few years to develop because they needed to learn the mental side of the game and have it catch up to their physical attributes. Bryce was supposed to be a QB savant who already had a fully developed mental side of the game and that was going to make up for his lack of physical ability.  And his lack of NFL level QB physical traits has been clear as day to anyone who has watched him the last 3 years, mainly, he just doesn't have an NFL arm, he can't zip the ball into tight spaces or throw on a line down the field like is needed at this level.
