No more free refills?

Supposedly, McDonald's and other fast food chains have decided to remove the self-serve beverage machines from the front of house (*leaving it to the individual operator to decide).

They'd rather focus on the drive-thru vs having customers come inside, plus maintaining/cleaning a customer-facing soda machine is extra burdensome for the staff.

Not specifically mentioned? Those ne'er-do-wells who bring their own cups or otherwise fill a free "water" cup with "expensive" soda and ruined the self-serve convenience for everyone else.

Last time I ate at mcdonalds which was probably a couple years ago it sucked so bad and was so expensive  I swore I would never go back.

Really do not understand why people pay that price for such terrible quality of food.

People don't cook. If you don't cook how do you eat?

I enjoy cooking. I use to eat fast food a lot in my 20's. In my 30's I mostly eat fast food on the weekends only.

I love to cook, especially on the grill.  I am always trying to come up with different meals that my family will enjoy.

Grilled food is the best food!

But my favorite will always be fried fish!

Love fried fish too.

I grew up on the river here in Eastern NC and my grandfather fished as part of his income

We always had fried flounder, fried soft crabs and all kinds of local seafood

Yeah I'm a seafood guy. If I had to choose my last meal it would be fried catfish, fried shrimp, cole slaw, and hush puppies. Nothing like it!

    • He makes a good point about Wallace.  In fairness to Wallace it is hard to play your position as freely as you need to when your defensive line is getting pushed around like ragdolls.  One of the greatest attributes a defensive line has is sucking up blocks, freeing up your linebackers.  Our defensive line couldn't suck up a lollipop more or less blocks.  I think Evans, Sanders and Tremble are going to be a really nice TE group.  I can see all three getting time on the field.  If Sanders can improve as a blocker teams won't be so inclined to believe it is a pass play whenever Sanders is on the field.  Ryan Fitzgerald, I think was an awesome pick-up. Hopefully he can fill our kicker void. Luke Kandra many turn out to be our next Norwell.  Everything I have heard about him says he's a beast.  He needs some refinement, but the good news is he's got Hunt and Lewis (arguably the best guard tandem in the league) to learn from.
    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
