A quick offseason tip

In the time I've been following the Panthers (which is since the beginning) there have been a boatload of offseason stories where "an unnamed team" has been looking at making a move or picking up a certain player.

I can't recall a single scenario where that team turned out to be the Panthers.

Someone can check to see if my memory's faulty, but I don't recall it ever happening. That just isn't the way they operate. Those times when they do go into "stealth mode", it's as good as an SR71. Bottom line though, when it's tinfoil hat time, we're rarely the team in question.

Keep that in mind when you see these kind of stories.

I think fans want these stories to be about us, but they never are.

Truthfully though, exciting offseasons are meaningless. Exciting postseasons are what matter.

No poo, no big moves?

Peppers gone, Delhomme released, Moore crowned, multiple veterans shown the door. The 2010 roster will be worlds apart from the 2009 "21 out of 22 starters returning" BS.

This offseason has been a massive upheaval for the Panthers the likes few teams ever see.

And they're not done.

i think it's been pretty interesting so far. i'm actually quite fond of the way the panthers FO has been handling things. the only questionable move, IMO, was the jake delhomme move, cause we could've used a veteran backup, and he would've been ok with it. but letting him go leads to no questions as to who the starter is, and it won't divide the locker room. so ok... and i think the hoover move was the right move, for the record. fiammetta will be fine. and i don't want washed up vets on our team. i've enjoyed this youth movement to the fullest extent. and i swear, i keep thinking about the 80's USA hockey team that beat up on the russians in the olympics. what if the panthers became that team?

we will be fine next year, if you think not, then just dont post anymore till we dont draft anything decent and release more key players. I'm so tired of seeing people posting their "sky is falling" posts, it's so depressing. We have never been big in free agency EVER, and we always draft good so whats the worry? just wait

I saw where we have been successful 26-32 picks. I wish i could remember which site that was I would have giving the link.

I like our draft team and believe we will fill our holes and keep moving on.

Look releasing Jake, Diggs and Hoover, allowing Pep and Moose to walk is all part of the game. They were no longer CORE Players.

We have plenty of Core players left. You gotta let go of that *Long Time Star* to keep the young players of the future.

Look Who we have now.

Gross, Williams, Stewart, Kalil, Otah, Beason, Marshall, Gamble, Harris and I am sure there are more that I missed.

The roster is full of replacement players that one day may be CORE PLAYERS. We are doing it the right way.
