Am I the only one???

Just trying to figure out if i am the only one that sees we are really likely to suck next year. I mean come on:mad2:, we haven't picked up anything solid, and let go of a ton. I think we made alot of cap room when there is no cap and for what, all those high picks we are gonna get in the draft. NOT. What are they doing, rebuilding when this is their contract years. Give me a freakin OK I'm done venting for now.

"Addition by subtraction "- Jake Delhomme.

I was just about to say that!

It really is true. I'm not going to bash Delhomme, but look at how well the team played with Moore under center. We have no reason to think our run game will be anything less than it has been the last two years, and our defense improved with just about every game last year.

I'm concerned about the defensive line, but less so now that Brayton's come back. I hope we can grab a good tackle or end in the draft, and a receiver. Other than those positions, I don't think we have any pressing needs.

And I know it's tough to say this before the season, but it would appear that we have a pretty easy schedule next year.

I may need to stay away from this forum for awhile... This shi is getting absolutely crazy this off season.... Just do a search for off season whining... you'll find more post like this... Stupid new threads day after day saying the same thing... A big F*U to all those who do not believe in this team for next season, especially when were in the playoffs. If not, I'll be wrong like every other year we don't make it to the playoffs.. oh well.

yeah we sure going to suck without jake, diggs, lewis, landon johnson, peppers, hoover, moose, dante wesley, vincent. how will we ever overcome such huge losses? oh doom and despair.

only one that could have a big impact is peppers but even with that i don't think it will be much.

plus we have room to pick up 25 more players before camp. and we will have at least 8 picks and could have as many as 10 if we have a repeat of last year giving up a first for a 2nd and a 4th (which is very likely).

there is going to be another wave of free agents hitting the market after the draft in which there will be a good bit to choose from all with talent on par with the first wave (not hard to do considering how poor the FA market was) at a much more reasonable price.

no need to panic. we'll have TD back, an upgrade at QB, one year into the new defensive scheme, still having the best run game in the league with or without hoover, plus one of the best Olines in the league. the secondary is solid and the Dline should be as well. STs should be improved.

superbowl bound? probably not...but still a legit shot at the playoffs and a winning record.

Honestly I feel better about this coming season than had we stuck with that dead weight. We still have a draft to go through where I have a feeling we will pick up some extra picks through mortgaging next years first. We really only have one glaring hole and thats WR. We do need some depth in spots i.e. QB, OLB but things look alot better for next year. I cant wait to see what we can do with Moore starting a whole season.

    • I'm happy with TMac, but Tyler Warren was last season's Tyler Linderbaum for me in that he was at a position that wasn't one of the five pillars but he was the best player at his position AND one of the top talents in the draft. I cannot fuging wait for the Panthers to start winning again so that those guys fall to us like they seem to for teams like Baltimore & Philadelphia.
    • Still working on consuming all of these so I don't have summaries available, but I figured there might be another Huddler or three trying to kill time before tonight's final preseason game.   Panthers Blueprint: Training Camp The in-house produced Blueprint series has given behind-the-scenes look on the field and off. Start the day with Robert Hunt's family, be in the morning meetings, mic'd up players during practice (Jaycee, Rozeboom, Icky, and Bryce), roster evaluations by the staff, and plenty of camp highlights capping off with FanFest.   Processing Blue (Mike Kaye & Alex Zietlow Mike and Alex are back talking about a variety of topics including but not limited to: joint practice + preseason game vs. Houston, Trey Hendrickson trade rumors involving Carolina, training camp awards, draft pick draft, and various thoughts about the team.   Jordan & Jake 706: Opening Day Another in-house Panthers' production, the most recent episode of Jordan and Jake talk about how to properly balance intensity in practice, react to the starters being shutdown for the preseason finale, share their thoughts on the newest Panther QB, and more.   Raw Room - Ep 278 - Gas Pedal (ft. Mike Davis) Assistant special teams' coach Darren Bates' Raw Room podcast has former Panthers' RB Mike Davis on his weekly podcast. I'm about halfway through this one and it's been a lot of fun. The Raw Room guys (DB, his friend Alex Sweets, former Eagles/Chargers OT King Dunlap, and former Atlanta DB Jalen Collins) are hilarious and Mike fits right in. They talk about his football experience coming up, decommitting from Florida and how he decided on South Carolina, and more. Warning: If you're the type of person that is easily distracted by accents, despite XL being on the team, you might have issues with understanding the Memphis dialect. If you don't care about how somebody talks, just what they're talking about, tune in!
