Disheartening Tweet from Jay Glazer

Is it really that disheartening that we probably won't go after a player who would fail miserably in our offense?

Jesus Christ folks, McNabb deserves a better fit than here.

An elite QB like McNabb would be successful anywhere. I think he'd be able to learn a new system easily because he's a smart QB.

However, I understand why they aren't going for him. He's old, and demands a high pick. People are just too obsessed with big name players. You want a 33 year old elite QB, but you don't want to give a guy who went 8td 1int, and had one of the highest QB ratings in the league in that 5 week span the chance to start and prove he could be elite too?

Yes, McNabb would instantly make this team a playoff contender, but that doesn't mean Matt wouldn't either. People need to give him a chance before rallying to bring a guy in who is on the last year of his contract, demands a 6 million $ bonus by whichever new team gets him, and will likely not resign somewhere unless he really wanted to be there.

Why would we trade for McNabb and not see what we have in Moore? If Moore is great then we have our next franchise QB. If he sucks then we have a first round pick next year to get a franchise QB. Don't get the point in us trading for McNabb???

The guy chokes in the playoffs...why would he be any different here?

Fans remember how great players were in the past, and equate that to today.

Leaving out of the equation N F L players do not last long past 32 yrs old .

Yes a few still have high test in the tank, most are downgraded to unleaded or kerosene, some vinegar.

But even players in their mind think they are as good as ever .

MOORE deserves his chance, how do you really know what you have if you do not let em play?

I like McNabb and think he gets attacked much more than what is reasonable, but investing in him at his age at this time isn't what I'd like to see our FO do. We have bigger holes and I feel comfortable with Moore in there.. He deserves a chance and at this point, I don't see investing in McNabb as helping this franchise more than tying it up more in the future by investing in McNabb now and a new QB in a couple years..

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms that the Panthers are not in pursuit of Donovan McNabb.

Nor are the Cardinals or 49ers, Schefter reconfirms, though he believes they "should be." The Eagles would love for another team to join the bidding, because as it stands Oakland seems like the only team seriously considering a move for their 33-year-old passer. The Panthers are fairly certain to invest a pick in a QB later this month, but Matt Moore may not face real competition.
