Maybe this will finally make some realize just how bad our roster is

ONLY Panthers fans know who these bums are. There are hundreds of Cade Mays’ out there. Dude isn’t good. He’s only started a game before because this organization is so poorly ran.

If you can’t make this roster I’m not sure there’s a roster out there you can make

Maybe it’s because I’m in a bad mood with a screaming headache,  but something about the comment just rubbed me the wrong way.  Yea, maybe these guys aren’t the best and may not make an NFL roster, but damn, pretty much all of them were college standouts and I’m sure they’re all basically elite athletes.

Far from bums…….

Well no sh!t lol

When I use the term bums it’s in comparison to all the other NFL athletes that are in the top .000000001% of the world

I think from time to time folks (including myself) get caught up in the relative differences between NFL players and dont look at the fact that those guys out there fighting for a roster spot have busted their ass and achieved more than 99ish percent of their peers.

You are on point with your take IMO.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, I listed HOF name after name that's been cut. You know posters get in mode where you're either the greatest or trash. Plus posters get caught up general lazy terms.

After all the cuts and waiver wire signings there is still a pressing matter/question that has yet to be addressed....

Matt Rhule, Scott Fitterer and Frank Reich: You have to fug one, marry one and become pickle ball partners with one.

Who you got? Go.............

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
