I don't have a dog in the fight, but he has a point when it comes to football. Duke is a basketball school.

So is Carolina but we talk about their football.  Tell me, what’s the difference?

And I would like to add, Carolina football loses like this with 4 and 5  star recruits.

UNC is a North Carolina school. By law 82% of freshmen have to be from NC. A whopping 15% of duke students are from NC.

And what does that have to do with the fact your football program sucks as bad as Dukes?  Actually, last couple of years Duke has been better.  Fun fact, did you know when they were first thinking of building the Asheboro Zoo, a Carolina alum, NC general assembly member and NC senate member said to just put a fence around Carolina?  True fact, he said it to the zoning board

I'm just saying that's probably a big part of why so many more people talk about UNC on here and in the state of NC in general. UNC has MUCH deeper roots in the state. UNC is a NC institution. Duke just happens to have an ugly campus in a shitty town that happens to be surrounded by the state of NC.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
