Skattebo is struggling as much vs Texas as Jeanty was struggling against PSU last night. Yikes.

 

I don't think it's an incitement on their talent at RB. I think it just doesn't matter how good of a RB you are if your offensive line is alot less talented than the dline they are going against.

It's just not realistic. If you cheer for a conference knock yourself out. But what a team did week 1-12 has maybe even less than zero to do with a bowl game. 

The "factual" thing is those teams lost those games. The emotional thing is the "players didn’t play, transfer portal, etc."

That has nothing to do with what actually happened.

Remember the FSU "We WeRe ThE rEaL nAtIoNaL cHaMpS!!" horseshit? How did that end up working out for them?

If you spend your time crying and making excuses, what message does that team get from you as a coach?

I mean if that is soundly beating the 12 seed….we view football games different.  Clemson in theory SHOULD have been the team to get beat the worst given the seeding.  

still can’t believe we got folks upset about teams that didn’t make it in over the ACC champ lol.  Clemson is the last place to go looking for why someone else should of got in

I legit felt bad for FSU last year. Sucks their QB got hurt and honestly they did earn the right to be in the playoffs but unfortunately given the old format I think the selection committee did the right thing because everyone knew they weren't one of the four best teams without Travis. That's the type of stuff that the 12 team field fixes.

But yeah, you wonder how much the whine fest and woe is woe is me bullshit they did from last year factored into the suck fest that happened this year.

Arizona State is the biggest paper tiger in the playoff. I looked at who they played and the scores, and knew Texas was going to absolutely DOG DICK them. It’s going to end 45-10. They don’t have a chance.

it’s also a fact they were the ACC champs and had nothing to do with who did and didn’t get an at large entry.  It’s also a fact no one can be upset about them getting overseeded.  So, it’s again, just the wrong team to be upset about.

I very much am enjoying their fall and hope it continues for years.

I don't let my hatred of programs bleed into enjoying watching kids get screwed over because of a devastating late season injury to their key player. I feel bad for the kids. fug the program.

It wasn't getting screwed over even remotely. They had no business being anywhere near the playoffs last year with or without Travis. The ACC was historically bad. They genuinely didn't deserve it.

      I am gonna believe it wasn’t us if the 4th round pick price is accurate. We needed 225 points to get from 19 to their pick. 875 at 19 to 1100 at 14.  Our 2026 4th was valued at 56 points I think. A future 4th has less value. So that wasn’t close to enough.    It would have taken our third and our fourth. Comes within a point of even.    Now, moving to their spot in the second round we could have done but after Miami took Rodriguez why would we?

      Yep,and Blake Miller have had more experiences than Freeling,Lions did not sigh a vet T like Walker,so they had to pick Miller.

      I mean it's expected.  This is the NBA.  And they hate the Charlotte Hornets.  Flagg was also the guy "magically" given to the Mavs who lost Luca to the wildly popular Lakers.  Was always an uphill battle.  But the award is BS since it's not voted on before play-in starts. Kon probably lost because of the play-in as many people switched votes.  It was a regular season award, so this is some nonsense.  Kon also didn't have the luxury of taking 10 games off to rest up injuries like Flagg did.  If he did, he wouldn't have been nursing his back the last month.  I mean, screw him for being on an actual playoff team that matters.  Flagg took tons of shots a game, he was wildly inefficient.  Kon was a huge reason the Hornets made the play-in and turned the season around after Jan.   I think Flagg will probably be the better player long term, or at least the most impact.  But Kon should have won ROTY.
