I would be ecstatic if Beck or Ewers fell to the 3rd.  Ewers just had a bad game vs an incredible defense.  He still has a ton of good tape.  Beck has incredible physical tools and great mechanics its just his processing that I struggle with but IMO both would be great value late 2nd/3rd.  Perfect guys to draft to sit and develop.   I mean Beck had some great games last year vs ranked teams and good defenses and same with ewers this year.  He picked apart Mich.  Last night was just brutal as his line just gave up

I’d consider Ewers in the 2nd (without moving up for him).

My personal favorite QB right now in this coming draft class is Garrett Nussmeir from LSU... I truly believe the dude has that moxie, it factor to be a star in the NFL and LSU has produced a couple of good QBs lately with Jayden Daniels and Joe Borrow. We will have to figure out a way to gain a 2nd round pick though.

The LSU offense seems to translate easier to the NFL. I’m assuming Kelly runs a NFL offense with progressions etc…

I honestly wouldn't even consider Ewers prior to the 3rd. He absolutely cannot deal with pressure. He's a pure pocket passer. Not just pocket passer but a spot passer. He has to be comfortable on his spot to pass well. If you can force him to move or even think about moving he's cooked. NFL games are chaos. You're going to get pressured, I don't care how good your OL is. We saw Ewers operate in chaos last night. It was ugly.

I don’t watch much college ball and I’m not saying you’re wrong, but after Bryce, every time I hear “it factor” as a selling point I cringe hard.

His OL couldn’t do anything though. It was like watching Stroud against the Ravens in the playoffs. If you have no blocking you simply can’t make your passes at 100%. I wouldn’t use one game to write him off. He has some nice arm talent that can’t be coached.

To be fair, I've never been high on Ewers.

yeah and up until last night he excelled vs top tier competition.  I wouldnt take him in the top 10 but poo if he started falling on day 2 I would be intrigued.   He has some next level throws on tape for sure.  And like I said Becks throwing motion and mechanics are a spitting image of Stroud but there is jsut something about him that makes me shy away from him.  The pimping of the lambo preseason was pretty cringe all things considered.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
