Pfffttt… Bears passed on Stroud AND  Daniels for Caleb.  Haha!

Yeah after all that, even if he works out as a decent QB he doesn't look as special as what they passed up on their own end. He might not even outplay Fields this year or next. Or Malik Willis for that matter lol although the Packers always seem to have an issue of two good starting qb's

I really have no idea why people think that Caleb is going to have a big day against us.

We have yet to allow a passer hit 250 yards. That includes Derek Carr, Joe Burrow and Justin Herbert.

They are just going to run the ball. It’s what all teams are doing against us which is why the passing yards look like that. We are missing DB, Tuttle, Jewell, and Shaq. That’s over half of our front 7.

They have the 29th ranked rushing offense at 87.3 YPG.

This is what I mean by I am not understanding why people think Caleb is going to have a big day against us.

History says we, especially how the defense is looking, are other teams’ get right game.

Oh they will rush over their average but they also only average 165.8 YPG through the air.

Again, Caleb Williams is not a good QB and we have done fairly decent against way, way, WAY better QB's so far.

We got passed on by notorious accurate passers and Caleb Williams is extremely inaccurate.

I understand that and the Bengals averaged 89.3 yards per game until they played us and put up 141. We just don’t have the players to stop the run. I’m not saying the Bears will win but they are going to run the ball against us. I’m not as worried about Caleb. They are going to rely on their defense which is good and running the ball against our banged up defense.

I don't disagree they will do better than their rushing average but when they resort to throwing, we may make them pay.

Also remember that is not a smart OC or HC.

It’s definitely winnable. Our defense just needs to dig deep because I’m not sure our offense can score as much as they have against the previous 2 defenses. We need Wallace to play well.

    • I'm really not stressing about upgrading from Bryce. I'm frustrated with our inability (or refusal) to recognize overall bad QB performance and failure to seriously address the issue. QB is the most impactful position on the field, and we're not only settling for what we've been given to this point, but we've rewarded it with a fully guaranteed 5th year extension for a player that's never played 2 NFL franchise QB quality games back to back in 3 seasons. I can't understand how that's ok from a coach's or GM's viewpoint. Successful franchises don't do things like this. It just doesn't make sense.  We do not have a top half of the league QB right now. Since we don't have that player, we should be looking for him. Pickett isn't it. Grier isn't it. Bryce hasn't proven he is yet. Until you have that sure fire franchise QB, you keep looking. You're not consistently making the playoffs, a deep run, or a SB appearance without one.  What's the worst that could happen? We end up with 2 potential number 1 QBs? How horrible.
    • Easy to understand Pickett, if this is anywhere close to on point. Canales wants to get as close to Bryce as he can- get the pace and timing in the throws as close a he can to Bryce. So the other players don’t have to adjust so much, to a new guy.       If Cam was the 1, he would look for a rocket arm.  But Bryce is the 1. Look for limited in the same way.  Low velocity, plenty of air under it, feels just like home when Picket comes in. And you have the guys on the second team not having such a radical adjustment (if they have to play) like with Dalton to Bryce.    Enter Grier. I guess we will collect those types.
    • Best part is if we draft him, we can also use him as our fourth and one QB sneaker
