Saints vs Panthers

Give Brady Christensen his due. That was the cleanest we've seen the pocket in a while. Consistency with edge pass blocking is critical (especially when you need passing lanes for a short QB).

He's starting at OT for an NFL team. Panthers need to make him the LT and move Ekwonu to LG. Ekwonu will easily be an All Pro guard. Need to trade Lewis or Hunt.

Ekwonu comes back and you'll see the pocket problems again that will take away any small chance of success with Bryce at QB. Ekwonu's ankles won't hold up over the years with his poor footwork, slow kick, and the body leans.

F tanking anymore.  Not worth it with how many times teams are saved from themselves by not getting what you think you wanted.

I said last week this team was starting to remind me a tiny bit of other teams that went on to have a lot of success in regards to young guys and coaches learning and growing together.

Winning feels soooo good.

Keep pounding.

Resign Brady to an extension.  Move Icky to RT next year.  I've been wanting BC to start at LT since we got him.  Rhule never even gave him a chance there.  Big shoutout to Cade Mays starting at center for the game and doing a solid job.

Credit where it's due: Bryce Young did a great job in leading the Panthers on a game-winning drive. It's almost as impossible to type as it is to believe, but I'm glad to see it.

He got the ball to Legette in the clutch, Legette caught the ball, Coker played well, the defense made a stop when it had to and Chuba scored the winning TD.

LOVE beating the Saints! LOVE Charlotte FC beating Orlando City, too! A perfect weekend at the Bank!

Rhule thought his arms were too short, smh! He’s proven he can play anywhere on the line. He’s a baller!

I posted earlier about how he is a rookie, but he is horribly/regularly mismanaging the game and being out coached. He chose to be HC and OC. He's inadequate as of now.

He has the best offense we've seen in 4 years. hes doing fine...and will only get better...we desperately need stability which he brings...not sure who ur monkey azz would want to come here and do better...give the guy a chance to build...

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
