Bryce Young QB School

Good breakdown, probably the most positive of Bryce of all the breakdowns so far, but still pointed out the bad throws/mistakes. He seemed overall super happy and said it multiple times that this is what we were expecting to see more of coming out of Alabama. One game, but definitely a step forward

The bottom line is bryce looks vastly better than weeks 1 and 2 and there is no reason to not play him moving forward. There is no downside. If he starts sucking again we are right back where we are right now. But if he can continue to improve (even if he will never be a top 10 QB) we can build the team around him and bide our time till the right QB becomes available.

It used to be that way but now days what team is a regular true super bowl contender year in and out that doesn't have a top 10 qb?  You could say Minn i guess but that's just this year.

is there a timestamp for that?  I dont have the time to listen to the entire thing

I didn't mark it. He seemed to go by drive if that helps. I honestly didn't realize it was so long as I was so interested in his take on the scheme Canales is running. He seemed to really like it.

found it around the 17 minute mark,  why in the hell didnt bryce lead him?  And the play he does before was a jump ball to sanders who bailed his ass out.   He is still doing that hop poo and throwing off his back foot.  This has to be driving canales crazy

at 18 he eyeballs the wr and throws a duck that the corner simply doesnt catch.   I mean if folks want to say this was his best game then fine but holy fug then his body of work looks like a picasso of bad qb play

the moore play at 25 he is still bouncing on his toes and makes the throw.  I think I see what DC sees and its just not going to get better

He throws a wobble the next play to sanders

I noticed a lot of passes were big time wobblers, I wonder what’s going on for that to happen so much.

I mean to be fair the underthrow at the end for the PI won the game so maybe he really is playing 3d chess.  But I know after watching that video Canales is done with his bullshit

Whats crazy is the talking heads on espn, former players no less, loved his game. I don’t understand…

That was a pleasant watch, certainly the best game of Bryce's career. JT praised some offensive design, shouted out the rookies making plays, and was just generally positive. There were a few bad throws he pointed out as well so it was more than fair. But seeing Bryce STAND TALL and deliver in the pocket was a massive plus.

    • lol, that second part is quite literally one of the dumbest things ever. Having or not having guaranteed contracts has absolutely nothing to do with how much these billionaires have to pay.  Because there is a hard cap and a minimum cap spend requirement, and teams either use their cap or roll it over to use it all the next year, so the owners have to pay the same amount of money in the end no matter what. Having fully guaranteed contracts in the NFL would only hurt salary cap management, and thus would end up screwing over the team and its fan base when teams kiss on signings as they take up cap room that is needed to improve the roster. Look at the Browns with Watson, they gave him the fully guaranteed deal and all it’s doing is sucking up massive cap space now.  If they hadn’t done that, the owner would still be paying the same amount of money each year as that cap space would still be used elsewhere. If you want to argue for fully guaranteed contracts because the players deserve it, that’s an entirely different argument and a fair one to discuss.  But anyone against fully guaranteed deals isn’t doing it to argue for the billionaire owners.

    • Ryabkin could be the steal of the draft, he was a Top 10 pick heading into last season and had a rough year.  Lots of GMs passed on him because of that and his workouts. Pick has really high upside and Svech should be able to translate Rod tearing his arse a new one for making dumb plays since Svech has had several years of it.  🤣😂
