You missed all of the best.

For sure my memory needs exercising!

I recalled walls and kasay. Jake is still far ahead.....wiffed on mills.....Bates got me too.

I think they missed on rocket, he had 1k when it was a big deal. (I thought of him right when I hit the reply)

Still most on that list are one year wonders and old timers.

I'd take luvu panthers stats over my main guy geenes. white didn't move the stats any here.

Barring injuries or women problems, hunt should pass every not named Jake. (I'm not the biggest mills fan).

Hunt is enormous, in more ways than one, but it’s Mills and Jake.

Mills embodied what it meant to be a Carolina Panther. Keep Pounding. 2 words. Uniquely ours.

Jake started the 2003 season by coming off the bench against the Jags after halftime down 17… and won the game with a no time left back of the end zone pass to Proehl… IMHO one of the most important games in Panthers history.

He finished the season by piloting a 4th quarter comeback in the Panthers first ever superbowl, down 2 scores… against the GOAT. Think about that. We had a team that went toe to toe in the Super Bowl with what is arguably the greatest NFL dynasty of all time.

Sorry for the thread derail

Yeah, we have had some amazing HR's in free agency(and some unforgettable blunders).

I think we are just seeing the recency bias of second generation or new Panthers fans(probably 2015 onward).

I think they were very wary of putting a rookie in front of Young. Given what he looked like the first two games, I guess it wouldn't have mattered who was in front of him. Good or bad, same QB.

But I think that is what that hangup was and kind of always did. Anyway, whatever the reason they were sticking to their plan and it wasn't a rookie C.

In general this situation on the OL is much better because not only do these players directly and immediately pay off, they raise the bar for the backups too. Hopefully, because having elevated standards for the group is something that could have a payoff past just this year or next.

If we ever found a Fountain of Youth, I'd pay to have Ryan Kalil taken there.

Exactly, the team motto came from a free agent who is in the Hall of Fame and isn't the only LB free agent of ours in the HOF.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
