Cooper Rush is a veteran backup, isn't he?  He's not comparable to BY...

And anyway, Washington has a pretty meh defense this year. Still a good game.

HOU, well, that was on 55 attempts, lol.

Couple of decent games from him. We'll get to see him soon lol

Cooper rush is 6 and 3 as starter b young is 2 and 17.

So you didn't see nothing mental about how awful he was the first 2 weeks? He was literally sobbing on the field.

I honestly do wonder how much of an impact his breakup with his GF had on thing

First two weeks like you said he looked depressed. Gets a month to get over it and comes back a completely new person

Right now it's an anomalous good game. We'll see if he builds on it but so many people so excited about 253 yards and a TD kinda speaks to just how bad he's been.  He finally showed some poise and an ability to make some throws and put together a legitimately good game. That's a good thing. But when this is your crown jewel after 20 or so starts, I mean... we still need to see a lot more over these last few games.

Remember folks anointing Bryce after the Texans game last year?  I do. Whew boy, that aged about as well as milk in the Sahara.   Undoubtedly he's playing better, but I have yet to see the level of play to say I want him as our franchise QB going forward for the next 10 years.

Well I've loved what I've seen from Bryce since his return. Given our lack of established receivers, he's performed better than I thought. Nobody wants me to be wrong about Bryce more than I. Look, if freakin' Kyler Murray can throw in the pocket, certain Bryce can, right?

Veteran backup over like a 6 year career on a team expected to compete in the playoffs vs a 2nd year dude on a team expected to have the first draft pick next year and you're comparing wins and losses lol.

Anyway, in his last 4 starts BY has more TDs, more yards passing, and a higher completion percentage than Rush. I wouldn't bet much on either of them ATM though lol. Unless they're playing the Giants...

I'd give the rookie WR's more credit than that. Bryce did actually earn most his yards against the Chiefs, but that Saints game was all rookie WR's yac. It was probably like 80ish of the 170 total passing yards were yac by JT and Coker. The throws have been accurate though and he's obviously playing with more confidence. I still want to see something over 40 yards in the air at some point that looks good/accurate

    • Saw this show up in my new feed. Nice to see a couple of our rookies making it into the top 5 so far, even if it is a pff measure... From https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-top-15-rookies-week-9-2025 ... 4. TE Mitchell Evans, Carolina Panthers (78.7) Evans struggled in the Panthers’ tight win over the Packers, finishing with a 41.8 PFF overall grade — third worst among tight ends this week. He was not targeted in the game and played only one snap in pass protection. He did log 15 run-blocking snaps, and although he earned a 68.9 PFF run-blocking grade in zone looks (seven snaps), his 39.0 mark in gap schemes (second worst for the week) dragged him down to a 46.6 PFF run-blocking grade overall — sixth worst for the week. Despite seeing zero targets over his past two games, Evans still leads the Carolina tight end group with a 74.3 PFF receiving grade. He has caught all nine of his targets for 90 yards, six first downs and two touchdowns. Evans also leads the Panthers’ tight end group in PFF run-blocking grade (72.2). He has recorded a 20.5% positive play rate across 175 snaps.  5. WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers (78.6) McMillan had a better day against the Packers, recording four catches for 46 yards. Most of that production came in the first quarter via two 16-yard catches — one of which he snatched from Carrington Valentine’s hands, who was in perfect position to break up the pass. McMillan accounted for three first downs on the day, although Green Bay was able to limit his impact after the catch, holding him to 0.8 yards after the catch per reception. McMillan now has 41 catches for 558 yards — a top-15 mark. He is also tied for second with 19 explosive gains of 15-plus yards. Three of McMillan’s catches against the Packers came between the numbers, bringing him to 22 for 318 yards and 19 first downs (tied for second most) this season. He owns a 26.1% threat rate and a 76.6 PFF receiving grade between the numbers. He also ranks in the top 10 in explosive gains (10) and yards after the catch per reception (5.5) within that area of the field.
    • At least we don't need to hear overreacting about towels ...
    • Actually there is, try being a Charlotte Hornets fan. I mean the team fuging moved at its peak and hasn't recovered since and that was 25 years ago
