Adam Thielen is a starting WR on every team in the league right now outside of like Minnesota or Cinci. His age is completely irrelevant to how good he’s playing. Plus, the refs swallow the whistle on him because he’s pushing off on every single play but a kindred just call that “awareness”

XL sucks poo for sure but the weak link on this offense is Bryce. 

instrad of whining about XLs drop we need to ask why this offense consigned to struggle to break the 20 point threshold despite the resources invested in it.

He's gonna be 24 years old next year.  He was in college for 5 years.  There is a very legit possibility that improving his hands just isn't something in his future.  He's a body-catcher.

He will get better if he wants it. He was a raw prospect. He’s still a rookie in the NFL. Like I said earlier if he was in year 3 and playing like he is now, cut him.

Is it?  He had one of the highest drop %s in the NFL coming into this game and had 3 drops this game.  Even if we don't blame him for the first one (and I would agree we shouldn't fault him for that), that is still 1 too many drops for a 1st round WR.

I'm not saying he won't ever get better, although I doubt it.  But right now?  In this very moment?  He is a bad WR.

I don't know man.  I want to agree with you, but hands just aren't something that can be improved overnight no matter how hard you work and we have seen this time and time again.  For 90% of guys, you either have good hands or you don't.  That is why DBs stay DBs. 

Could it happen?  Sure, but I think the Panthers would be making a grave mistake if they go into this offseason banking on Legette being the #1.

Also, two things can be true at once.  Legette can have had a terrible game AND the offense also could have played better the rest of the game.

I'm not done with him but god damn....I agree you give rookies time, but I remember hearing a coach say on TV years ago that in like week 3-4 you make a mistake and its ok...its a rookie, he's young, but by this point in the season there are NO ROOKIES in the locker room anymore.  Team shouldnt be having to tell XL to hit the jugs, he should be doing it on his own.

Calling Bryce the weak link and saying it’s whining to discuss XLs drop is quite the take when those 2 players were directly involved in the game winning play that was not made. Hint, it wasn’t Bryce that fugged it up. 
 

to answer your question about struggling to break 20 points, ever considered it’s because our #1 WR is a rookie who can’t catch?

      The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.

      Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.

      I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
