Canales has gotten away from the run consistently all season.   I still don’t think he is anywhere close enough to be being good enough to be pulling double duty.  We should hire a legit OC.  Let him focus on being HC.

Based on what I've seen from his as a playcaller, I'm leaning towards wanting a dedicated OC. I'm only a fan of pulling double duty if you're Andy Reid levels of good and Canales isn't in that neighborhood.

The whole 2.7 seconds seems like coach speak as well.  You haven't heard poo about that in 17 weeks

Yeah, and I'm saying you complain week after week, and nothing is going to change. What do you want us to say?

I want Bryce to either fail or play great. which ever will make you stop.

We are the worst team in all of professional sports and you want me to be quiet about the most important position on the team? Gotcha.  I’ll take that into consideration.  No promises though.

if you don’t want to hear about Bryce Young…..probably a bad idea to be on a Panther forum though.  He likely is going to be topic #1 no matter my voice.

I'm sure that if you put Young on the Eagles he could have produced the same results or better.

It's crazy. I just don't get it. I called out the lack of YAC and somebody mentioned how Jatavion Sanders and Jalen Coker were high YAC guys. I mean Sanders had like 2 good plays a month and a half ago, and Coker had 1 really long run on a broken play and maybe 1 other I can't remember. I'm talking about receivers catching the ball and getting an additional 5-10 yards by shaking defenders. That should be a norm every game but we rarely ever get that. That's too much pressure on a QB and OC.

I agree with what you're saying in principle. We should have these conversations and they shouldn't be entirely slanted as negativity it's just a blunt assessment with long term expecations in mind because it involves the most consequential position on the roster like you said. None of us know Bryce's ceiling for sure but without a doubt next season has to be the big jump all circumstances aside. I hope to see it. If not then we keep looking.

I'm really hoping we offload him for a 2nd and just have a journeyman next year.

They're so goofy with some of these takes. They don't realize what they're even saying. Eagles have Smith and AJ, not to mention the threat of Barkley (2000 yards on the season with another game to go).

I didn't pay alot of attention to that game but I'm sure those guys bailed their QB out most of the game.

I did watch the Giants though. Lock's first TD was like a 40 yards screen to Nabers. His second was a 10 yards pass to Slayton and he broke it for like 40 yards. His third TD came after Nabers caught the same underthrown deep ball that some are saying was impossible for our 1st round receiver to come back and catch. That put them inside the 10 yard line for an easy throw to a wide open receiver. His 4th was a 5 yards pass to Nabers that he broke for like 50 up the side line. Meanwhile Carolina receivers going down where they catch the ball.

Just box score watchers that is all

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
