Do you think we have a top 10 QB now?

Another way of looking at: Bryce was able to win 4 games this season with what will historically be one of the worst NFL defenses of all time. He lost to 3 playoff teams by 1 score.

Football is a complementary sport. With an average defense, this probably would have been an 8 or 9 win team.

Im not a hugger by any stretch, but to have won any damn games with this defense is a minor miracle.

I personally don’t like the years they do sucky play as what you comeback from…..but if they do that variant of the award, Sam Darnold going to run away with it.    That sells to the national fanbase easy.

Some of yall are extremely dumb if you truly believe some of the poo that you post here.

Posting Saying somebody who finished a season with a multiple week benching, not even full season of good play, and only 4 wins is Comeback player of the year is just as dumb.

What did you think of his game today?

Are you telling me this is his one 5 TD game of his career & it's all downhill from here?

OR

He's a PB MVP QB who can CONSISTENTLY have 3+ TD games to carry his team to division championships & contend for the SB?

Eye test saids it's his career best game. They all have 1 or 2 of these career games. Will it take him another 30 starts to get his second? We'll be lucky as fans if he gets to the level of Steve Beuerlein or Ryan Fitzpatrick. That will make him an easy to acquire above average QB, but nothing worthy of what was given up to acquire an average to above average QB.

I appreciate your effort and hate you had a rough day today as a fan.

You’re really emotionally invested in Bryce failing. So strange.

BTW…he’s also the youngest QB in NFL history to have 3 pass TDs, 2 rush TDs, and over 250 yards passing in a single game.

What was that about an eye test?

He is playing better had a great game to call him top 10 is crazy talk at this point.  Next year is going to be a huge year the panthers could actually be good which is crazy to think thats possible.  Canalas has done an amazing job with young.

Best game of his career easily. Even the biggest bryce critics aren't arguing that, it doesn't mean his comeback player of the year or a top 10 qb

I mean I agree, I wouldn't go for either of those either. But he was brilliant.

I would take steve b level during his panthers days.  Steve b led the most potent offense in panthers history passing for 4400 plus yards 36tds he only started 2 full seasons for the panthers and holds the record for panthers most passing yards and tds in a single season.  He just came to the panthers too late in his career and seifert disliked him greatly.

Rough day? Young had a career day and the Panthers won. A losing season always hurts though and requires tough changes.

Must understand where each position stands against their competition. Upgrades are what we need. Not hope and projects.

I was a backer for Beuerlein too as he improved the team during a rebuild and had them at the doorstep of the playoffs. If Beuerlein was consistently struggling while producing 5 or fewer wins even with a career day, he would have needed to be replaced too.

The danger for the franchise is going into the offseason hyping up underperforming players to championship levels who are average at best compared to the league competition.

Thank you! This is my point. Young can get to that level, but he cost way too much for that return. Beuerlein still needed competition & ultimately (if he was kept on roster) would have had to be replaced with Delhomme if he was producing 5 or fewer wins per season.

Bryce fantatics think anything less than seeing him as a top 10 QB or seeing his game as perfection is hate.

    • Why do we always let our good players go ?   CMC was injured and we let him go . Now we face him Monday night .  We know what Chuba can do . We know what Rico can do .  We signed Chuba so why not sign Rico .   we don't know what we have in Brooks ,  Let him and Eteine go at it in camp . Keep the better player .  Don't let your proven players leave .
    • Oh, I get it. I called him Peewee for the first couple of years. He is too small to be an NFL QB. It wasn't as much of a problem in college, even in the SEC, because every player in the NFL is the size and speed of the biggest 22 on your entire college team.  I was left scratching my head over the pick and what we traded to get him (and yes, that cost analysis is unavoidable). Now we're sunk into the third season and the kid just popped a frikkin' amazing game out there where he showed every mark of what you need in a top end QB. Great passing, mobility, guts, toughness (that ankle must have been killing him) and the ability to put a team on his back to claw back a win. He didn't win it with his arm so much as by getting the ball to the right people at the right time, but that is what the best do. Do I believe he's going to be our QB of the future here? I'm still out on that. Way out on that. But I'm at least intrigued. Can he replicate what he did or even get close? Can he perform well against the power opponents we have left on the schedule? Heck, can he even beat New Orleans this season?  Right now, my personal feeling is that he'd make a heck of a back-up QB. He could prove me wrong and excel, though. Maddening as it is, that'd be the best outcome ever. Or he could have just hit his peak. And that would be bittersweet because then we start the whole thing over again. I don't see a reclaimation project QB out there right now that Canales can work his magic on.
