NYC is the universally understood abbreviation for the city.

My deepest apologies.  To be honest, I was thinking team name--not 6th grade geography map. But i did say "from" and you were within your duty and right to step in and clear up this calamity.

Current list from the Jags...

Trent Baalke is likely hoping all of those guys are okay working with him.

Jag fans are probably hoping the opposite 😕

Imagine if Joe Brady gets a HC job already, haha.

I am seeing Vrabel, Johnson, and Saleh as the 3 hottest candidates.  Many see Johnson as the most coveted--but I disagree.  Johnson is a technical guy--a creative offensive mind who has not been a head coach yet.  I think Vrabel or Saleh are better choices because they are more about culture and seem to have the respect of players.  I also think Vrabel might be making a mistake going to New England, I think he is the best leader of men--followed by Saleh.  Dan Campbell is not a football genius, but he knows how to motivate. He gets family and the power of the locker room.  Having said that, Johnson needs to go to a job with a solid culture--not one that is in disarray.

After the presser in Jax with the owner who threatened to fire his GM while sitting beside him on national TV--that is not the job for him.  I also think Brady needs a more solid environment, but I am not sure he is head coach material.

I watched that live and my jaw dropped to the flow when he said that. I will have to rethink my views on Tepper.

We can tell when things are not normal because we don't hear from you--circumstantial, but it causes concern.

Pushing sixty with a bad family history... 😕

Married someone with a nursing background who loves to give back rubs though, so hey... 😃

I'm definitely not as active as I used to be (funny to say being retired) but I have begun to try and keep up again.

The team actually looking good healps...a lot.

I'm about to retire myself. I'm looking forward to being able to sleeping in on weekdays. Glad to see you back on here dropping knowledge on us. Also glad to hear you are on the mend brother.

I'm told you can't press charges against a month, but if I could I would 😄

December pretty much tried to kill me.

Hot take

I think Ben Johnson is afraid of having to be a leader instead of just a play caller, I’m starting to get that vibe.

Im just not a fan of someone who is technically unproven having a list of demands like his camp does.

Strongly disagree... I think he's taking the smartest approach any HC candidate has taken in a LONG time, maybe ever.

He's still only 38 years old and only been an OC for 3 years.  He knows how this league is, no matter how great of a football mind you have, most coaches only get one shot at being a HC, and if it doesn't go well, they likely capped their future career opportunities as coordinators.

He is in an OUTSTANDING situation for a coach in his situation.  Because as someone else said, Campbell isn't really an X's and O's coach, he's a rah rah type of coach who depends a lot on his coordinators.

So Johnson gets to learn how to be a leader of a football team from one of the best in the league, which for a 38 year old coach, is almost impossible to quantify how important that is for him.  While also having a truly elite offense to work with as they have everything, one of the best OL's, one of the best WRs, and maybe the best RB room in the entire league.

In league circles, I'm sure Johnson gets more credit for the Lions actual play than Campbell does, especially this year with their defense being so bad because of injuries and being carried by an elite offense that Campbell has little to do with.  So he's doing nothing but increasing his stock throughout the league by staying there and turning the Lions of all franchises into an offensive juggernaut and a true SB contender.

Teams aren't going to stop wanting to hire him and he's only 38, there's no reason for him to take just any job offered to him as opposed to waiting for the one he thinks is the perfect fit for him.  I still think he would be the Chargers HC right now if Harbaugh didn't decide to go back to the NFL, and when he didn't get that last year, he was fine waiting again for the right opportunity to arise.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
