Please gawd, NO!!!

McCoy might as well have IR stamped on his ass, cause after he get's popped one good time he's gonna be scheduling alot of Dr.'s appointments and riding the pine for a lonnnng lonnnng time...

Exactly my worry. Biakabutuka Blond.

I would rather have Delhomme than McCoy.

At least Delhomme wasn't a weak-armed pansy who can't take a hit.

That is the dumbest thing I have ever read on this board. The guy started EVERY FREAKIN GAME at Texas and has more wins than any QB in college football history.

Drafting Colt McCoy would be the right move if he fell to us. Do I want to move up for him? Not necessarily but think about how many people will be on this board if we started the season 0-3 and Matt Moore is sucking saying "we should have drafted McCoy or Clausen." I don't want to make the mistake of passing up a really talented QB. Especially when we could make a trade for Osi to solve our DE depth problem...and take a WR in the 3rd round.

aww man, you guys are way exaggerating. i would much rather have a receiver, but mccoy is not some wimp. he took plenty of hits, and is as much of a scraper in the pocket as big ben. he's highly mobile.

Damnit man! I hope he's a QB not a raper!

That's intriguing to analyse the trades after they have happened.

Denver lost out in value by 32 points with the 49ers (gained 113)

Denver lost out in value by 15 points with the Eagles (gained 70 & 87)

Denver lost out in value by 28 points with the Patriots (lost 113)

Denver broke even with the Ravens (lost 43, 70 & 114)

After all their trading they netted the extra 1st but lost their 2nd and 4th round picks. Not bad really. A first round pick for effectively a 2nd & 4th by simply trading down a few spots.

Frankly, I am not sure why they traded with the Pats, could not see the Bengals taking Thomas with Chad and Bryant there already. So they could of gotten a better deal out of this all. In addition they could have possibly squeezed a bit more out of the 49ers and Eagles, maybe picking up some late picks.

In contrast the Dolphins lost out effectively a 4th rounder by trading down. So Tim Dobbins has apparently gone up in value in the three years he has been in the league. However he does give depth behind the two starters, which currently was maned by Ayodele and Torbor.

I can see it happening only if the Panthers move back in the 2nd to snag a receiver to complement him. Other then that, I just don't see the Panthers trading up to snag a QB, especially this early.

Now I will say that that they may trade up to snag a QB in the 3rd or 4th if Lafeaver or Skelton are still on the board.

Just for the record, I am really high on Colt McCoy. I know a lot of people have questioned him for not coming back in the Championship game but it was later learned that the coaches wanted to hold him out for precaution. Also, McCoy has never really had a serious injury up to that point.

Everybody is questioning his height, which amazes me because he is a inch taller then Drew Brees and a inch shorter then Jake Delhomme. Also, his arm strength is decent but not the greatest which is why he may be a better fit in a WCO. However, I may want to add that he is more accurate then The Golden Calf of Bristol.

I think the biggest reason why the Panthers could select him is because of his leadership ability, Fox and Hurney like high character guys and McCoy who could instantly come in and step up and become a leader.
