Darin Gnatt thinks Kenny Moore will replace Smitty at the start of camp

With the QB situation completely different this year--No Jake, no Feeley, a new and improved Cantwell, Moore as a starter, the addition of media darling Calusen and the potential of Pike, who can say what the WR situation will look like. Jarrett might do better--Jake was not looking at him with the first look, unless you count slants that were probably hot routes. Jarrett is not fast enough and smart enough to stay open while Jake went through the progression. Maybe DJ was called to run routes that Jake didn't like to throw--there are too many variables to list. The bright side is--DJ is only 23 years old, has great size and great hands. The down side: If he cannot beat out Moore, he will be cut.

Moore is a versatile WR who is developing. His progress reminds me of Cantwell's. You didn't see it coming and it changes a lot of projections. He is a player with confidence and I think he will contribute. His bright side: He is a good athlete with good hands and can play any of the wr positions. THe down side: We have versatile players who can do what he does-possibly better--Goodson and/or Edwards might make it tough for Moore.

There are other players I hear nothing about in relation to WR--Dexter Jackson is looking like a bust, and Goodson.

If cuts were tomorrow: Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell, Armanti Edwards, Dwayne Jarrett, Kenny Moore, and Wright would be my guess. After watching 2 OTAs, I can say that we have never been this talented at WR before. I am not sure the talent has ripened yet, but it is there.

Have we ever had this much talent at QB?

I'm not even going to quote that whole thing because it's a waste of time. You typed alot in there but didn't really say anything.

Sound like SN is pwning you right there with how you're giving up. Sorry, but I think what he said is true. Like I said, Jake help made a rookie Colbert look good than Jarrett. I think that sign Colbert at least try & was better at that time than Jarrett will ever look.

Pwning me on the internet is a funny concept. I'm not on this site enough to care. I didn't have time before to disagree, maybe I should have waited. You know to keep from getting internet pwned.

About the passing game: I picked three years because thats when I personally remember it going downhill. '07, yes Jake was hurt, but did our backups do anything? I remember saying passing game sucked not just Jake. But he was the one driving us into a ditch ( or turnover )

"08-"09 Jake, You agreed with me, Jarretts lack of speed you agreed with me.

About Moose coming back...Who was the Bears QB? Muhsin Muhammad once called Chicago the place receivers go to die, I honestly would expect him to have a better year back home in a familar system with a familar QB...and?

Keyshawn Johnson, Ricky Prohel two more slow guys that did well on this team so again you agreed with me. Jerry Rice's name only came up because he's not fast but is in the HOF. If you read what I said, cant see how u understood anything else.

Now finally about Jarrett. Whatever Jarrett's mental or effort problems his first few years, The coaches never gave him a chance on the field. All i care about is what i see on sunday. If your a WR, I want to see how often you catch the ball, bad pass or not, and how often you drop it. Jarrett can catch, Period Not one of you know for sure Jarrett is so slow or can't run his route to get open. But supposely Kenny Moore can? when Kenny Moore replaced Jarrett he still didn't see the field. When he was on the field what exactly did he do to make so many peoples panties wet? I clearly missed it

About Colbert...You can't be serious? Colbert actually play'd and sucked...Jarrett see's one 3rd down pass in 4 games and you compare the two in production while on the field? At no point did Colbert look good no matter who the QB was. Kerry Culbert had half a good year back when Smith broke his team and thats it. This is the first time Jarrett has been given the same chace as Colbert....So we'll see

Colbert sucked, yet set a record for a rookie receiver on the panthers.

In fact, colbert had a better rookie season than jarrett has had a career. Fact.

So if colbert sucked, than jarrett is definately a bust already.

Who was throwing the colbert his rookie season? Jake? Oh damn.

Thats your snappy comeback?

Between the two...Who's played more on field minutes?

Trying to use Colbert to bash Jarrett is like saying your AIDS is better then my Herpes
