One thing that concerns me

I wonder if whoever starts at under tackle(probably Tyler) doesnt do well, will they slide Brayton inside? if they do, we better get some depth at DE, because i dont think any1 wants hilee taylor 2nd string, and possibly 1st if some1 goes down with injury...knock on wood...

LE-Johnson/Hardy

UT-Brayton/Tyler/Irvin

NT-Leonard/Johnson

RE-Brown/Taylor

Sorry, it will have to be indisputable visual evidence during the course of a real football game that will convince me of Brown becoming a true NFL DE. He made some plays last season thanks to the double team on Peppers, but he is truly the size of a linebacker and would have been better served playing as an OLB in a 3-4.

The playoff contenders in the NFL year-in and year-out have dominant defensive ends on their rosters or a dominant pass rush. The Carolina Panthers will finish the 2010 season with one of the lowest sack totals in team history and in the league.

I've read, heard and seen nothing about Everrett Brown, if we can't get a pass rush this could be a long season.

By the him adding 10 lbs of weight and increased strength, plus a years experience,Everrett Brown shoud do just fine.

That last line should be posted in the locker room for motivation

    • I member him staying after practices with only to see he was wearing heavy weight vest, one of his trademarks. He also put in 10 years, right? People forget he was the ST stud that called the snap and made sure everyone lined up right. He was one of the "glue" guys that bought his "lunch pail" to work.... He was a willing solider, all teams need a couple of them. He blocked for sooo many panthers RBs- Davis, lane, Williams, foster, goings and when there was huge injuries he took over the starter duties and had a couple 100 yard games. If you followed hoover, he took the perfect RB path cause he was just a slow heavy one himself....
    • Walker likely depends on a couple of things. What exactly did Dan promise him, to start with.  How much other interest he actually had for a starter job at high pay is another question. It isn’t outside the realm of possibility that he could stay on as a swing tackle waiting to take Moton’s spot when it opens.    I can’t get myself to consider Icky as a viable anything until we see him back on the field.     Hunt seems to be a team player and good guy but I don’t think he is worth what he is being paid. I have him tentatively earmarked for cap causality in the near future.
    • Definitely epic tv..... A man who wont cheat for a poke dont want one bad enough.
