Which WR room would you like for Bryce Young?

A.) Tetairoa McMillen, Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen & Jalen Coker

B.) Matthew Golden, Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen & Jalen Coker

C.) Luther Burden, Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen & Jalen Coker

D.) Emeka Egbuka, Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen , & Jalen Coker

In this order:  B, D, A, C.

The Steelers’ meeting with Aaron Rodgers ended about a half-hour ago. He spent time with GM Omar Khan, coach Mike Tomlin and OC Arthur Smith. No deal, but there was no expectation that would happen today. The sides will keep talking.

First, I think Aaron Rodgers is an attention whore.  Secondly, I think the deal has been worked out, but he is using this leverage to step into the GM role--probably insisting on players he wants, etc.  This is about the institution of Rodgers--not the Steelers.  I would tell Rodgers "thanks but no thanks" and move on.

The interesting team right now is the Giants.  Obviously, Mr. Ws is not the answer--when JW starts throwing footballs to the other team in NY, it will not end well for him. I would rather have Flacco. If the Browns decide to take Sanders, the Giants are in a weird place.  Think this way--their coach and GM could be on their last legs--should be. They needed a qb to save the day--unfortunately, that QB is a diva 41-year old looking for another farewell tour to celebrate his greatness.  What do they do now?  I was surprised they did not go after Cousins--and maybe they did.  Regardless, if they are left as the bride's maid, they will have a player by the name of Abdul Carter from Penn State on the board at #3--Atlanta needs an Edge.  I would work out a deal where the Giants drop to 15 and Atlanta moves up to 3.  The Falcons have to eat some of Cousins' contract.  NY would then take a DL or OL, and maybe a QB on day 2.

I personally think the giants will have a new staff following this season.

They are lucky to be there this year.  I really like their coach; their GM Schoen has made some bad moves.   They way he is getting played by Rodgers right now suggests weakness.  I would tell Rodgers, "Take it or leave it." and move on.

The only way it does is if they're not happy with the QB prospects this year and are looking to next. New coach, new QB.

that makes sense, but I hate it for Daboll because Schoen has not done a good job and they have had a lot of bad luck.

It’s really odd that we made a big push to trade for Metcalf  and have not made any attempt to sign anyone else

I think we were seriously trying for Tee but weren’t willing to make a reckless offer which the Bengals wanted. Tee and DK are legit everyone else this FA is meh. I really think Tmac is the pick at 8

Anyone with functioning brain cells knew Tee Higgins wasn't going anywhere for less than a haul. If we were actually pursuing him it shows we haven't learned and it also shows the FO knows full well they suck balls at drafting.

    • Didn't  see this posted (since 2023) but since folks have been posting that you can't judge a draft class for three years (a ridiculous take), I thought I'd post this to see what people thought about the 2023 draft. Unfortunately this may not be the most interesting class to do this with but I do quite like retrospective draft grades. Would appreciate other's takes on this (and other recent) draft classes.   1(1) - Bryce Young QB: I am a bigger Bryce Young apologist than most (maybe all). I like the kid. But there is no way around it: This was a terrible pick. If he had been picked in the 4th or even the 3rd round I would feel pretty good about it. But this was the first overall pick that we gave up two firsts, our best offensive player to get.  GRADE: C -    2(39) - Jonathan Mingo WR: not much to say here here. He was here for two years. His yards per catch are on par with Bryce's yards per pass. Rough stuff. To date he has still never scored a touchdown in the NFL GRADE: F   3(80) - DJ Johnson OLB: a pick I hated as soon as it happened and an example of why the premise of this thread is honestly dumb. This was a bad pick when it happened. Most people knew it.  Then came training camp and he did not look good. Then came the preseason which confirmed what we saw in TC. Then came the season which confirmed what we saw in preseason. To date, he has half a sack in his career. GRADE: F 4 (114) Chandlers Zavala G: Honestly the best pick of this draft which really speaks to how awful this draft is. Other than Bryce, the only pick still on the team. He is mostly average or below average depth which in round 4 is not terrible. But he had a pff score of 43.5 and though I think people have unrealistic expectations for draft picks, I still would want a little more from a fourth round pick GRADE: C+   5 (145) - Jammie Robinson S: I liked the pick when it happened but ended up being a disappointment. He logged 1 tackle with the falcons last year and not enough snaps to get a grade on PFF.  GRADE: F OVERALL DRAFT GRADE: F
