I'm so happy to hear that Hardy is doing so well in camp. 6'4" 277lbs, fastest lineman we have by 20yrds. Running with the LBs. Has karma delivered Jerry and the Panthers a #90 type of freak?

Looks a lot like someone we know...

*still enjoying boner face*

Looking back it was against some legit teams and not the basement dwellers of the SEC, he had 3 sacks vs. Alabama as a soph in '07 and 2 against LSU as well.

As a Jr., he had one against LSU, Florida, and Alabama... All teams pumping out NFL OLinemen.

He should very exciting to watch come pre season, hopefully he shows up and the Panthers got themselves a diamond in the rough from the 6th round that can get 6-10 sacks this coming season...It would be nice and it would help quite a bit.

I really hope they leave Brayton as a backup and rotate him more at DT... Give CJ and Hardy/Brown the most reps at DE. I think that trio could generate some serious pressure.

i have always liked hardy, and i am not surprized to see him doing well already, but i must admit that i thought that norwood would be the guy that everybody was going to be talking about when camp started. i hope that norwood is getting jealous, and shows us that he was a steal too.

Norwood is too busy doing both DE and LB drills to be jealous.

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
