Fox runs the stalest offense in football.

Awesomeness!!

Recommended Posts

It can seem stale, but I will take 5 yards per carry and 1100 yards each for Double Trouble over 18 INTs.

This team is going to scare us during preseason and possibly the first few games. Graduually, it will start to scare the opposition. At the skill positions Thursday, the following Offensive "skill position" players had no game experience as a Panther:

Pike

Clausen

Cantwell

Wright

LaFell

Edwards

Gettis

Trent

Vaughn

D. Jackson

These skill position players have 1 year of experience with the Cats or less:

Fiametta

K. Moore

Sutton

Skill position players with more than 1 year of playing experience with the Panthers:

M. Moore (8 games, actually, but in the system)

D. Jarrett

D. Williams (played little)

And we lost by less than a touchdown while the special teams sucked, we fumbled on the goal line, had drive-killing penalties, and an INT because the WR fell down.

That game was in our house, but maybe you should re-watch Peppers is in the highlights.

Go to Adrian Peterson's touchdown run by the goaline. Peppers is there at RE getting blown off the LOS and then standing there in the middle of the field watching AP cross the goaline.

isnt that one of the games where he dominated???? every de gets blown up once in a while. even the all powerful jarred allen has gotten blown up on running plays.

I personally love our offense. It's old school. What the NFL used to be about. Run the ball down their throats, take advantage of over-zealousness with play action passes down field. Its basic and predictable at times, but if executed across the board, it can be very effective.

Urban Meyer, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees have ruined what football is in most people's minds. Its all about running 3-4 WR sets and throwing the ball 40-50 times a game now. While it can be effective, its just as predictable as us running 30-40 times a game. Its all a matter of "you know what we're going to do. Stop it."

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
