Good news for Panthers re: Falcons

I still have the image in my head of Delhomme tearing up that Falcons secondary last year.

I look at the Falcons, I don't see their defense as a vastly improved one over the ones they had in '08 and '09. I expect Moore to look like Peyton Manning against that piss poor excuse of a defense, and Dwill and Stewart to have 150+ yards each.

Well, I was a little worried about the Falcons this year, from early reports and after the Chiefs last week. But after watching the product Frankenstein (Mike Smith) and Jimmy Neutron (Thomas Dimitroff ) put out there for the first string against a real NFL team, especially on defense, I feel a lot better about the Falcons returning to mediocrity...

Our chances at a Wild Card are looking better... Still think we will have a hard time catching the Saints with all our new players, but the Falcons will always be the Falcons...

Go Panthers!!!

The Saints defense won't generate that many key takeaways again in '10. Without those, I don't view the Saints as a big threat.

not to mention that had we not been afraid for Delhomme to throw the ball (bc he was a turnover machine) we would have beaten them at home last year and swept them...again. i won't even bring up D-will's fumble (guess i did)

    • Ok, we ain't making the playoffs unless something insanely crazy happens and plus it's November, time to start planning for the draft this spring.  Pretty simple, list our positions of need, address in the draft (or left to FA) and round we should draft that need. Currently we have 8 selections, the actual slot in each round still to be determined by finishing order, but I can't see a huge swing one way or the other. (This as of Week 10) Needs: (no particular order) ILB, CB, DL, Edge, S, QB, IOL, OT Rd1: ILB/EDGE Rd2:OT Rd3:Edge/ILB (opposite of round 1) Rd4:S Rd5-a:CB Rd5-b:QB Rd6:IOL Rd7:DL
    • Isn’t XL the player Nicole Tepper told Canales to trade-up for during draft day?
    • Yeah it is along the lines of ‘fraud vitiates everything’, it just prevents an honest assessment.  You got guys with some acknowledged issues, really swimming upstream due to the quality of the QB.    I think back to game two this year when he got a lot of targets and was unable to do anything. When you look back nothing, or maybe one, was in a decent place for him to get.  I think it was week two. And ‘a lot’ maybe be overstating but there were a few.
