One thing is for certain this season

The 'start Clausen' chatter is going to be unbearable. You thought 'start Wienke' was bad?

Moore is going to have a bad game. Moore is going to throw INTs. And then it will start. The regular season hasn't even begun and it has started(hell it started before TC).

Moore is going to throw INTs.

Regardless of the Clausen situation, Moore has shown that he doesn't throw INTs. He may have some (a lot) of 3 and outs, but he doesn't give up the ball. And on this offense, that's all that matters.

Pounding the ball doesn't look good when we get stopped, but everyone loves it when DWill runs for 70 yards.

The best QBs of the recent generation have been guys who have sat for a few years before starting (see Aaron Rogers vs. Alex Smith). Our coaching staff believes this too (not starting Matt when Jake was hurt a few years back), and we all need to sit back and realize that Clausen is the future of the franchise (unless Matt is spectacular), not the now of the franchise.

My beef is that if Matt Moore is going to make the same mistakes as Jimmy Clausen this year...then why start Matt Moore? He is on a one year contract right now and thus far has not looked like a guy that we would resign for a multi-year deal. So...he plays this year and he puts up a 85 QB rating with 3000 yards , 20 TDs and 15 INTs. How does that help us for 2011? Do we really only play him because we want to save Clausen? Or does the staff really think that playing him gives us the best chance to win? Because the Jets won 10 games last year, went to the playoffs, and won a playoff game with their rookie QB (who I don't think is any better than Clausen). They played almost exactly the same style as we do offensively, except for the fact that we have a better running attack and a better go-to WR.

b/c it is a playaction offense and Moore will stay in the pocket and go downfield and hit Smitty.

Jets easily could have missed the playoffs and probably should have.....and all b/c of Sanchez. He was horrible last season. They got a cheap win late to put them at 9 wins and into the playoffs. Jets were almost identical to Carolina with Jake. QB play was a huge laibility they overcame most weeks.

Moore isn't a liability. In addition look at all 8 starts and his ability to get Smitty the rock.

If Matt Moore is going to make the same mistakes as Clausen, then why get rid of Moore? You have a double standard, you want rid of one guy, but you want to keep the other for making the same mistakes.

This is Moores first year starting, he's 6-2 as a starter. Until he starts losing games for us in the REGULAR SEASON (the only games that matter) then we'll let him start.

Beating Minnesota, New Orleans, and NY Giants at the end of the year have cannot just be forgotten.
