Has anyone heard that if Moore does good he will be traded

You tell me. You've seen the tape.

The only thing that will save Moore is to have a top five performance this year (maybe top 10, maybe).

As a matter of fact, he may have to be Bradyesque or Manningesque or Breesesque or Riversesque.

It's definitely not going to be a case of Moore doing the jump and butt-bump against the wall, and hoping he sticks.

Moore is on a one year contract and there might not be football next year. If anything he probably walks.

Only 4 years in and no new CBA = RFA. We'd throw one of the top 2 tenders at him and guarantee compensation or he stays at a reasonable cost. That's assuming he does play well of course.

No one's heard it because it's made up

Moore is not under contract next year, so he couldn't be traded.

If he does well this season, he'll lock up the starting job for the near future.

If he does poorly, he won't be re-signed.

Trade is not a possibility.

(now watch some nimrod say "maybe we'll trade him this year")

if there is no cap next year, under the current rules, moore can be slapped with the RFA tag again. They can choose to put 2nd round tender on him and make get a draft pick that way. if he does incredibly well they can choose to put a 1st or a 1st and 3rd tender on him but the market has to be there. easiest is the 2nd round.

he's cheap and reliable at the very least so if there are no takers they can keep him around for another year with little problem while clausen learns more.

they got clausen to be the future (even though that may have been the intent when they picked up moore, but i doubt it) and moore is essentially now here to keep the seat warm until clausen is ready (which may very well be next year).

If Matt Moore does good, naturally we will attempt to resign him.If he does pooly, then he is history.

Personally,i will be pulling for him to do good and resign him to a cap friendly contract.

If Matt is resigned and Clausen proves to be the # 1 QB later on,then Moore could be used as trade bait.

We will have to be in a holding type, wait and see mode, until this all plays out with time.

    • JJ Jansen not being on this list proves that it is shite.

A couple of former Panthers and a hand full of "draft- What-If's" on the list. If this nothing else, this type of list shows the down stream impact of terrible player personnel and scouting that was in place here for years.
