Bengals 6-7 vs rookie QB's in Marvin Lewis era

Think back to the 2008 season. We were 2-0 and our third game was against an 0-2 Minnesota team whose fans were calling for Childress' head after the 0-2 start, and going into week three they made a QB change and started Gus Frerotte. We went in there and got beat.

Time to flip that script on the Bengals this weekend!

If our O-line continues their ineptitude, it won't matter what Clausen plays like.

Thats not really true because they werent playing to well with Moore but the qb has a lot to do with that you have to make your reads quick and get rid of the ball. We all saw a major difference with JC because after a quick survey he checks it the hell down ASAP with our checkdowns like everyone keeps saying thats a win for us because its a garunteed five plus yards

    • Btw... only Mitch fugging Marner has a better +/- than Key 🔑!!! And, Mitchy needed 5 more games and almost 100 more shifts to get there.
    • I was honestly flabbergasted to see Rod send out Stanky and the boys to to matchup against their top line to start the game. The reason that line has been so effective is because they've been matched mostly against 2nd and 3rd lines all year. You've got last change. Use it to your advantage.
    • Nobody played well on defense last night. But, the vitriol towards Chatfield (and to a lesser extent, K'andre) is bigly misplaced. People (not just you) just refuse to accept how bad Slavin has been this season. And, I get it. Canes fans (and informed analysts) have spent nearly a decade trying to explain to casuals just how good Jaccccob is at hockey. 4Nations happened and the hockey watching public started to listen. National media even started floating the idea of creating a new award in his honor. Then this season, he gets hurt. It happens. NBD. But, when he finally came back, it wasn't the same. He'll get back to his old self in no time. Probably just some rust, it'll be fine. Only, it wasnt rust, and he's not fine. He's bad right now. It wasnt just last night. Although, that was absolutely the worst game of his NHL career. Slavin (-4) currently has the 3rd worst +/- of anyone left in the playoffs. We've  been begging the world to recognize Jaccob Slavin's greatness. And, by the time we finally got people to listen, he shits the bed! I blame Kash!
