yep. mora didn't know what he was talking about.

the bump into the QB? just a little mistake. it was costly but it really could have happened to anyone. he was the victim of a really bad rule invented because tom brady got hurt once upon a time and because freeman has figured out how to act and point.

Two things:

1) I don't think it really matters if he gets the 'start' or not bc he still gets plenty of reps. It would only be a title not really make a difference in the defense.

2) I think one reason for the lack of sacks is bc fox got this bright idea of putting DE's inside on obvious passing situations. Seems like a good idea right? I actually think it's hurting us bc DE's aren't used to being in so much traffic, it reduces their moves and speed bc they aren't coming off the edge, and bc they can be over aggressive it can actually open up huge running lanes or throwing lanes for the QB. If we would just leave the DT's in there they could eat up space, push the middle of the line into the QB, and make the QB move into the DE's coming from the outside. I wish we could get those still images of game film like somebody used last week to show how this formation doesn't work. I hate it and I feel defenses can scheme around it.

putting DEs on the inside actually did pretty well last year. most of those 3 man rushes that did well had a DE at NT.

while I do like Hardy, he made a couple very costly mistakes against TB. Still, he looks good and certainly wants to hit someone.

you can't fault him for that rough the passer call.....that was bogus.

Moving smaller, faster guys inside, helps the pass rush on 3rd down.

Hardy starting doesn't matter much, considering he.s already apart of the rotation. Should get a few sacks this week against palmer, he's no 250lb escape artist.

Actually I know I am going against the grain but Hardy while doing good for a rookie isn't better than Brayton right now. He has 0 sacks and 6 tackles in 2 games where he has played the lion's share of downs. I like him coming in as a third down passer rusher and in relief, but I would be unhappy if Brayton comes in and doesn't do better. In a year or two Hardy may very well be a beast and he was a steal in the sixth round, no doubt. But lets see what he does before giving him a starter role yet.

I agree with the both of you. In these first two games, Hardy's been out there quite a bit. As much as the other ends, I would say.

that penalty when he ran into the QB was a joke.. maybe the ref had to call it based on technicality, but he was off balance and the tackle helped with that.. Then Freeman flops...

If we could score more then 10 points a game our pass rush would be alot better. Our D is just worn down by the second half. The secondary is not helping matters though.
