Will that restore your hope for this team or will you still feel as though we don't have a chance at the playoffs? A lot has to happen for us to improve enough to beat a team like the Bengals but i think if we can pull it together this week it shows me that this team can grow quick and have a good shot to still be playing after the regular season. Thoughts?

Well we would certainly have to improve quickly, but the bengals haven't looked very good either. A lot of it hinges on our running game, if we run effectively, we have a shot, is clausen is having to sling it around, he will make rookie mistakes.

I don't think we have a playoff team, especially the way the NFC South is shaping up to be a very tough division. And with the strength of the NFC, doesn't leave us much room at wildcard...

Realistically, in this rebuilding stage with a rookie qb, an 8-8 season would be a success.

      The good thing about replacing a bad player is you really have nothing to lose. If their replacement is bad so what, you didn't get much worse and probably saved money.

      I came over from the old Panthers Insider site. When Fox Sports bought that platform it slowly just started dying plus the guy who ran that site was dealing with some pretty significant health issues so the whole thing just slowly fell apart. Quite a few of us migrated over here. Not sure how many are still around.  I miss that place. It struck a nice balance of having enough active posters to keep productive conversation flowing but didn't have so much traffic that you end up with a lot of trolling BS. This place is getting there though since we shutdown new registrations but at some point we're going to have to open it back up or we'll watch this place slowly die off too as posters fall off for one reason or another. We just have to figure out a way to filter out the spam bots. It was a never ending battle to ban the spam bots to keep then from overrunning the site. You'd think they'd be a little more strategic. I mean, if you fill a site with nothing but spam people are just going to stop coming so it's not a sustainable model. But nope, every one of them makes dozens of duplicate threads filling up pages upon pages as soon as their account goes live.

      lol...I don't remember that.  Although recalling what I had for breakfast yesterday is sometimes a challenge.  Hope it was a positive thing.
