Jarrett says agent discussed trade option with Panthers in the offseason

My guess is the team wanted more than anyone was willing to give.

That's the most common reason trades don't happen, anyway.

I mean he is not worth anything more then a 7th round pick. I suspect teams thought we would cut him.

Camp story was from someone here who went (I don't remember who).

I think it's believable.

Well then it's a shame.

I remember watching a thing on him at USC where would play catch with his grandfather almost every day growing up, and he was able to catch pretty much everything as a result of it. I think that's proven to be true.

It's a shame that he can't get the game through his head.

And let me clarify, those were illegal shift penalties :sosp:

I've fixed it now, but your quote has preserved my unfortunate typo for all to see

lol we have the simplest most dumb-downed playbook in the NFL and Jarrett still can't figure it out after 3 and a half years.

Substitute "Jarrett" with:

1. The O-line this season

2. Anyone who's played QB for this team over the past 3 seasons

3. Every WR on the roster not named Steve Smith or Moose for the past 3 seasons

I'm surprised most of you haven't yet figured out how he's responsible for the 0-3 start... give it a minute I'm sure...

Other than being an epic failure and a lazy sack of sh*t, being a total waste of a 2nd rounder, not even putting a dent in the depth chart of our monstrous WR corps, getting beat out by a 6th round rookie, not even getting a game jersey for how long, not knowing where to line up after 3 years and not bothering to learn the playbook after who knows how long, yup, OTHER THAN ALL THAT STUFF he's been a total professional.

All this said the kid has said nothing against the team and has (other than suspected playbook learning problems) been pretty professional.

i'm a bartender. i can be nice to customers all day long, but if i can't remember what goes in a long island iced tea my ass gets fired because i'm no good as a bartender.

wide receivers aren't any different.

    • Jack Roslovic: Only 2 other UFA, right-handed centers age 28 or under had more points (39) than him- Sam Bennett (51) and Pius Suter (46). There were 4 other centers age 33 and older who scored more: Gireaux (37), Marchand (37), Tavares (34), Granlund (33).  Unless the Canes go old, if they let Jack walk, they won't get a center who scored more.  Thoughts?
    • nope     This is why we come back every year.  Hope springs eternal
    • It's important to differentiate criticism and hate. I can't speak for that individual you quoted. But most people who have been critical of the Tepper's have been so because both of them have made it a point to put themselves front and center and in the middle of team operations and we have been largely horrific more often than not as a result. If people are making derogatory remarks about her that should be met with an appropriate response but if people are being defensive just because she's being criticized all I can say is people should get used to it. Both her and David would have been getting absolutely skewered by the media and the fans if this were a big market franchise. The Lakers are finally being sold off after years and years of public criticism of Jeannie Buss and even though I'm the furthest you could go from being a Lakers fan just about anyone you could meet who is familiar with the NBA would say the criticism was certainly valid.
