Da Bears

We can win if Cutler plays or if he doesn't play.

We just have to sustain a couple more drives. They don't even have to end with scores. Though I'll take some more scoring to if possible.

We're gonna be pretty screwed then, Jeff Davidson couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag.

Although now that the opposition doesn't have to worry about our receivers...at all...we may be in for a long day.

We are averaging 11 points per game with Smitty

We held the Saints to 16 points. If Cutler doesn't play or if he does but is still traumatized, surely we can hold the Bears to under 10 points? 11 points may be all it takes for us to win :D I expect our run game to take off this week. Take off like a bat out of hell.

For my 2000th post I decided to start a thread. Let's move on.

The Bears looked terrible last night. My guess is Cutler will play....but he has got to be rattled. Might be Matt Moore like, post concusion.

Pep will be fired up, but could lose interest if he is on the field too much. So the question is.....can Clawsome make some progress, and can Foxy and Davidson come up with a decent game plan to put some points on the board?[/COLOR]

This game looks more promising that it did a couple of weeks ago.

I'm begining to wonder if they game plan at all.

I think if we don't play better offense, it is possible the Chicago defense will outscore our offense by themselves. Plus our defense shows no signs of being to stop anybody.

This will be a tough game to win. And if we don't then we won't ever have 2 games giftwrapped like New Orleans was or the Bears. Both great opportunities to win with some of their best players on the sidelines.

We have held teams to 18 points over the past 3 games....not stellar, but not bad.

And, we just held the high scoring Saints offense to 16 points.

The defense has been playing fine.

Any other day the football gods don't give us those 2 fumbles and 14 points

If we can compete with the Saints, we can beat the Bears. It definitely helps that Cutler is hurt, and it would be great if Otah was back by this week (very doubtful though).

It's going to be a close game, and it ultimately comes down to turnovers and our running game

Reality check here. The Bears defense is excellent at causing turnovers. And their running game is much improved. I see that as a wash.

It very well could be Clausen & our O-line & our WR's vs their QB and O-line & WR's. Who gets those big plays? I don't like our chances only because of our WR's. Our TE's better come to play. And they can sit Fiametta for all I care.

And Goodson vs Hester. Who gets that big return? :gnorsi:

Ah but they did because we were playing good defense. They played well enough to create mistakes and take advantage. That cannot be discounted merely as the whims of the football gods (Nuffle).

I can give you that, but looking at the time of possession tells me that we got lucky. That's why I kept believing that we would convert on our next 4th down because it was one of those "lucky break" games we haven't had in a long time

Possibly. I wouldn't put any guarantees on it, though. It was a very light one and he was showing no effects today or late last night. We'll see. I doubt there will be any lasting effects.

Pep will be fired up, but could lose interest if he is on the field too much.

If you've watched any of the Bears games this season, which I assume you have, exactly what have you seen that would indicate that Pep is losing interest by being on the field too much?

As an aside, can I just say what a monumental task it is wading through all of the Bold and Color tags when quoting your posts?!
