Why are we 0-4 ?

Panthers are 0-4 simply because it's a really bad group of players. Sure the Panthers have a handful of pro bowl capable guys, but the lack of talent at QB, WR, DL is just embarrassingly bad. The other problem is the oline regressed and if you lose the battle on both sides of the trenches you're not going to win many football games.

Fox and Hurney have been handicapped by a greedy owner who clearly no longer sees winning as profitable.

Because, JR let Foxy make too many decisions. (JR tried to let his people work, without his interference......andd, he was likely sick for quite some time before his surgery.) Back in the saddle, JR is now having to clean up Foxy's mess. This young team will only get better, espcially with new coaches.

1) DL - Let opposing backs get to the second level and lack of a pas rush.

2) CB - Can't cover or tackle. Actually NO stopped themselves, when their TE and WR's were dropping passes. Never seen so many open guys in a game.

3) OL - Gross has just been bad and I noticed we starting rolling Clausen out the right side away from pressure, Bernadeau has been awful as well, allowing DT to run free up the middle. Even on Williams best runs, he's having to cut back because the OL is not making holes.

4) Stewart is running scared and not the same back from last year and IMO, the dwfense knows it, taking Williams out of the game has ended some good drives we had going.

5) Play Calling - The game managing was horrid before halftime and to end the game. The screen play works against a blitzing team, but we rarely use it. Once D'LO was tackled for a loss at the end of the game, everyone knew pressure was coming on second and 14, however we continue to run these long downfield routes that seem to take forever. I mean you are in 4 down situation, try picking up some positive yards on 3rd down to get those 4 yds back for a FG or a managable 4th down call. Clausen had no chance on that 3rd down play.

6) Blitzing - We have one of the best and quickest LB's in the league, why are we not sending them to apply pressure? At one point I showed my son a replay, where all 4 of our DT were spinning around like "ballerinas" and the Saints OL were just like watching them. You give any QB, that much time, especially Brees and he will kill you.

7) We are going to have to sign a veteran receiver, not a high priced vet, but someone who can work with Clausen and our rookie WR's and be a positive influence and mentor.

At this point it's all about development, It may be time to let go of Marshall, Jarrett and Bernadeau to name a few and promote some PS players.

    • You would hope so. I’m confused why the sports world seems split on Bryce when he’s obviously not working out.
    • So let’s do the reverse? Make everyone agree everything he does is a disaster? I also think the whole “gaslighting” is on the eye of the beholder. It went from he can’t avoid one single sack countered with he actually did that well Sunday (with data backing it) to a little breakdown of why he is so bad. People are going to have different opinions. I’m also not going to pretend this wasn’t happening Day one with this little QB.
    • All this great stuff he has done, how often does he do it?  I have it at three or four games out of 14 where he was very good and then you get a drive here or a series there where there are some good things. Here is the gaslight part: everyone has put him on a curve with his first year the baseline, neglecting to understand how bad he was then. Even if he comes back twice as good, where does that really leave him? 25th ranked or thereabouts.     He had so far to go, and still does, it is a Major ‘settle’ to accept his play as worthy of giving him our future.  You want to settle when the Bucs have Mayfield, and the Saints have overtaken us at QB? We will be third in the division at QB. That is good enough for y’all?
