If Fox got fired where would he go?

He is actually probably is the best position of his career.

No one but Panther fan expects us to have a winning season.

So nationally he has low expectations. He has had a very good career and will probably be the most sought after coach next year(if he gets fired). There are also a lot of high level team out there that are tired of not making it to the next level, such as SD, Dallas, and maybe NYG.

Walking away from here and landing one of those jobs would be a sweet deal for him! I for one like Fox and will like him where ever he goes. I think we need a change at the coach position but still thing hes one of the best.

(just read a post that I thought was funny, saying how Fox and Davidson should get fired cause we run on 1st and 2nd down... Im sure no one said that last year! and with out QB and WR situation what else CAN we do...)

Fox will absolutely be in the mix for any HC position that opens up after this season. He can even take a season or two off and still be in demand. I'm not saying he will be the first choice for some teams (Dallass comes to mind here) but it's not an impossibility either. And he might be content to take a DC position while waiting for a better choice of a HC position to open up. He has a good hand of cards dealt to him, regardless of what happens here this year. If the team can turn around in any way after the bye this week (admittedly unlikely but still worth the question), he'll have momentum on his side.

It's difficult to say this early without knowing which head coaching positions will open up. But Buffalo, Oakland, or Cleveland are the most likely scenarios. Depending on how the Giants and Jaguars finish the season it wouldn't be a surprise to see Fox end up in New York or Jacksonville.

When he had his tools he was among the best. Injuries to key players messed a couple of his years up but good coaches get teams through those times, and he has (Nick Goings).

Jerry Richardson has taken away Fox's credit card. Sabotaging a season. The respectful thing for Richardson to have done was to release Fox right away whenever he determined that he could no longer work with Fox and move the team forward.

Marty seems like a yes man because there is absolutely NO WAY he didn't know he was fielding a weak team. We all knew it since August and to release Kenny Moore just to hold Jarrett to his contract!?!

It's not Fox's fault, watch and see, he will do very well wherever he goes if given the Fox type players he desires.

When Fox gets free Coughlin will be out on his ars. The Giants have been waiting on this one for a while and I don't think they'll make the same mistake of letting him get away.

I don't blame Fox and I don't blame Julius. This disgrace was ordered from the top. This front office has been unkind to it's players, and coaches, and fans by raising ticket prices for garbage time with the JV squad, pissin' in the sky and telling us it's rain.

I will never believe another word Marty Hurney says.

Jerry, sell the team! You made a decent team into a disgrace ON PURPOSE! You gave them knives and sent them to a gun fight! You chose a couple of stuffy mega rich guys over your team and fans.

The football gods do not smile on such behavior. Hang it up, please.

    • I am too. Frank became completely disinterested in the HC job after the draft.
    • down 24 and we get our first possession in the 3rd and what happens?  run TE checkdown TE checkdown run run run RB checkdown TE checkdown run TE checkdown incomplete TE checkdown run now on the 4 yard line- Renfrow TD and POOF!  3rd quarter is over.  That's not a team even trying to get back into the game in reality.  That's just the Panthers taking freebies to make it look respectable in the end and guess what? Bryce gets to pad on 6/7 to his stat line in exchange for making the 3rd quarter disappear.  Not sure the hyper focus on the depth of the corners.  Cardinals were going to simply drop and allow the easy stuff underneath.  Which they did.  Did they play a random short yardage play a little different? Sure.  That doesn't' mean they weren't just letting the Panthers overall eat clock to bring the game to an end.  The Cards strategy was fine on D.  You just don't generally see teams implement it as early as they did but they were up pretty big.  It's the other units for the Cards that fugged the plan up.  again, it's 3 drives,  the ONE in the 3rd quarter and only drive of the entire quarter and the 2 to open the 4th.  Cardinals gave Bryce stuff in exchange for clock  (and the result was slow long drives eating the clock).  The rest of the game? They didn't.  The rest of the game outside of those 3 drives the Cards weren't in garbage allowance mode and Bryce stunk
    • But a serious question is, does he not see a guy come open because he misses seeing them on the field, which happens to every QB, or, is his vision blocked by the wide bodies in front of him instead of the helmets other QBs experience? For instance missing a wide open Chuba. Did he not see him or could he literally not see him? I tend to think the latter is a far bigger problem than we're being led to believe it is.
