Bleacher Report: "Fox fired a shot over the bow at team owner, jerry Richardson."

You don't fire a coach that goes 12-4

Didn't the Chargers do something like that? (I still agree with you though)

i was ready for him to be gone after '07.

Correct answer. Fox/This team was exposed in '05 playoffs and '06. Should have fired before our star players started quitting on the team :ciappa:

As cheap as Richardson is right now I would careful in hoping Fox leaves so soon. With some of the decisions upper mgmt is making there is no telling who we may get.

I agree with alot of the critisim with the way Fox runs his offense but this year is not entirely his fault.

To sum up:

Recently Fox, was asked if he thought, "it is what it is." Fox then, said what he really meant to say. He said, "Maybe."

That maybe meant, something. It's pretty obvious to anyone who, knows Fox. That it means he finally, is rebelling against Richardson.

All through school I wanted, to write. But I was never allowed to in the school paper. Now I have, Bleacher Report. The result? The worst article Delhommey has read today is owned by me.

:iamwithstupid: That was so bad it was difficult to read.

You do when you get blown out At HOME in the playoffs with 2 weeks to prepare.

or you at least fire the coaches that couldn't make adjustments and you sure don't give the QB who threw up 5 or 6 turnovers an extension.

wait, we did fire trgocrap after that, didn't we? yeah, should have fired fox after that of course he shouldn't have been coach even then.

    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
    • Absolutely. If we are talking about a 20 year old youngster. He's a grown-ass man, and he doesn't know what his job entails or how to do it? Maybe he will be better next year! It's the Panther way.
