Everyone knows Moore gives us the best chance to win on Sunday. There will be no need for an I told you so.

also, half the people you listed I wouldn't call Clausen haters. Just fans who realized the kid wasn't ready and didn't want him damaged.

Look at my posts a little more carefully and you will find I am not in the group hugging anyone nuts. There are a few posters painting many folks in that group with a pretty wide brush. Frankly going out on a limb right now and saying that Moore is any better than Clausen is premature at best. You can say he has more experience and has a better grasp of the offense but he hasn't exactly done very good when he has gotten a chance. He has been very disappointing so far.

I was one of the first on here to agree that Clausen should get a start after game 2 ro see what he could do. Now that we know, it is time to put in Moore and see what he has learned from his time on the sidelines. Should he remain the starter ongoing? Not at all. If he doesn't play much better in the next few games, I would be fine with more changes.

In this situation I am not in the group that feels flip-flopping them is all that bad given we are losing or that it hurts their egos all that much. I normally agree that you should stick with 1 guy and not keep going back and forth but that is when like McNabb last year he had a bad game, not when they played as bad as Moore and Clausen have. Neither of them have shown they are starting material right now. Until someone steps up and shows they can do the job, i think you have to find your starter this year even if that means going back and forth more than recommended.

But anyone gleeful that Moore is starting needs to reign in their enthusiasm until after we see what happens on Sunday. At this point it is hard to hug anyone's nuts on either side of the debate.

And I agree with you that you should be a Panther fan not a fan of a player. Everyone should have their favorites but not root against anyone who wears a Panther uniform.

We can only hope that somehow a fire gets lit under this team. they have the talent. But, as Zod pointed out.....nowhere in any of the 5 games did this team give good evidence they are winners.

Actually I think we will win this week. West Coast teams are notorious for losing on cross country trips at the 1PM time slot. The niners have one win this year not 3 or 4. Their offense has been pretty bad as well and have been kept in games by their defense. We have had 2 weeks to prepare and have just about everyone healthy. Plus this is important to the players and coaches to get a win.

I am actually hopeful that we put together a better game and find a way to pull this out. If we lose on Sunday have we ever opened up going 0-6 to start a season?? That would make this the worse start ever. Somehow I think we find a way to win.

But we will see.

yeah, in fact the D has put them in position to dominate a couple games w/ average offensive play.

I still fall into the camp that Moore laid an egg week 1 and wasn't ready week 2 w/ the head. I think the offense returns to Carolina this weekend.

Just reading your fist sentence brings up horrify images of red birds flying everywhere...they kinda resemble CARDINALS! Frank Gore will rip us a new Arsewhole! They will go up by 14 points before Matt finally settles down and gets back in the grove. We will abondon the run with 13 min left in the first Quarter then Moore puts the stink eye on Smith who is limping up and down the field.

My prediction

Moore 11 - 25 4 Ints (all thrown into triple coverage to Smith)

Clausen starts after half time and goes 1-2 1 INT (probably not throw to smith) and one fumble

Pike starts in the after the 3qtr ends and doesn't even get to pass the ball

AE comes in with 2 min left and runs the...whatever it is we call it...for a TD!!!!
