Terrell Suggs on Brady: "For a guy that whines a lot..."

Excerpts...

On Wednesday, Suggs added more to the trash talk by bringing up the "Brady rule," which was put into place after the Patriots quarterback took a season-ending hit to the knee in the 2008 season opener.

"For a guy that whines a lot...at least I didn't have any rules put in for me," Suggs said. "I don't care. I'm over it. It was last week."

"He can have the last word, but I'll have the last laugh," Suggs said, "I promise you."

It's valid that the Patriots team has won it's fair share of rings (though not for a while). Winning rings doesn't really fix character flaws though.

Despite the rings they've earned, Brett Favre is still a diva, Gregg Williams is still an ass, Terry Bradshaw is still a dimbulb, Ben Roethlisberger is still a piece of s--t and Tom Brady is still a whiny, self-important prick.

Does Favre have a rule named after him or another one that fuged over Raiders many years ago? I don't see him complain even when he was getting destroyed by Sains last year he didn't do 1/10th of what Brady does when he gets hit or sacked.

Suggs today says that Brady did not get his Pro Bowl vote....his choices were Philip Rivers, Peyton Manning and...Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Also says that Brees is the best in the business...

After forcing a Brees fumble in Baltimore’s 30-24 victory over New Orleans on Sunday, Suggs made a point of telling me, “I don’t think he got rattled at all. A couple of times I was in his face, but it didn’t faze him. He’s one of the most composed quarterbacks in the league. And you notice he doesn’t whine to the refs when he doesn’t get the call like some other guys. That says a lot about that man.”

Gee, I wonder who he's talking about with the bolded sentence.

    • The aversion to tying up too much money in the ground game around when it’s what’s winning us games is crazy to me. I get letting Rico walk if you think he’s easily replaceable but I don’t see many people arguing that, just applying an arbitrary salary cap based on what we think RBs are currently worth. I’d rather be stuck with Hubbard as an overpaid backup (not the worst one to have, mind you) than lose out on the most productive player on the offense personally.
    • Why do people keep saying things like “it’s not Young’s fault we spent so much to draft him”? Who cares if it’s his fault?  Nobody is saying send him to jail or anything.  People aren’t talking about blame for the decision to draft him, they’re talking about how bad he is as a QB and how we’d be much better with even an average QB.  Pointing out that we sunk a lot of resources into drafting him isn’t invalidated because he didn’t make that decision himself. Doesn’t matter whose fault that was, he’s still not playing like a QB who was drafted at all, much less one that cost two firsts, two seconds and a #1 WR.
