Would you start Goodson in your Fantasy league this week?

When it comes to FF you should pretty much just pretend the Panthers don't exist.

Not true. I am picking up any defense the Panthers play for the rest of the year. Did the Saints last week and the Bucs this week. If the Panthers go off on them, I'm happy as a fan. If they don't...at least I get some fantasy points. It's a win-win :D

no. williams and stewart couldn't gain more than thirty or forty yards apiece with the two of them in the game and moore throwing for halfway decent yardage and touchdowns.

now our defense is crippled and moore is gone and clausen is teh suck and williams, stew, and sutton are injured.

no way in hell goodson makes sense as a FF start.

unless you play IDPs. beason and anderson have been really good this year. connor was doing ok as well. marshall gets picked on a lot so he does ok from time to time. derek landri was my DT for a few weeks and he did well there.

the more the defense stays on the field, the higher more tackles you get. thats always good for IDPs.

Good call. Agree. I'm starting Bucs D too.

Look I want the Panthers to win however this season is done and we are really bad so might as well capitalize on it. :D

Would you? I'm contiplating. Bucs have terrible rush defense. Really considering it...

No. Don't. It doesn't matter if we are playing the worst pass D....you bench Smitty. You don't start Goodson. There is nobody you should start on Sunday in a Panther uniform. I just cut Steve Smith in my money league for a defense so I wouldn't use my homer logic and screw myself by starting him again.

outside a healthy Williams....there isn't a fantasy option in Carolina at this point.

    • More praise of Renfrow from Tim Weaver (formerly of USA Today's Panthers Wire, now SI.com), and also what I told some of you, my Huddle friends, from the start: keep it all in perspective, and don't conveniently---and perhaps unfairly, discount and label Renfrow as a JAG when it was a very debilitating illness affecting his play.    "It's understandable to be skeptical about Renfrow's abilities at this late point in his career. After all, he missed all of last season due to a bout of ulcerative colitis that also took a serious toll on his production in 2022 and 2023."   When Renfrow is healthy, he's an above average guy. Being 29 may hurt or help his chances depending upon perspective, but 29 for receivers generally means that there's still (sometimes plenty) gas in the tank. Renfrow also obviously has plenty of motivation and has come with his game face.   "Then agan, seeing is believing and by all accounts Renfrow has been very impressive since joining the Panthers a few months ago... Where Renfrow will fit in Carolina's new-look receiver corps remains to be seen, but at this rate it's going to be hard to exclude him from the initial 53-man roster." https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/hunter-renfrow-sick-route-panthers-training-camp Read the room, ladies and gentlemen. And don't get it twisted; Renfrow isn't the most talented receiver on the team, but we have seen his ceiling, when healthy, in a Raiders offense that wasn't necessary replete with talent. Consider what he can do, especially in the slot, in a Panthers offense primed with young talent (no pun intended). From sick to "sick routes," eh?
    • That is literally what I am talking about. Those were 53 man cuts. Not at the beginning of camp.  I would say the odds of Barno being back are extremely thin.
