RBs DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Tyrell Sutton all ruled out for Sunday

Per Panthers Twitter.

And I thought Jimmy Clausen was a coward. At least he wants to go out there and play like a coward. These guys seem content in resting. Probably the best for their futures but I can't be happy with it.

RBs with w/ head injuries don't get to play the next week.....that ain't Stewart's choice. No reason to think any of those guys are intentionally trying not to play.

I seriously doubt in a contract year DeAngleo wants to be missing all these games. DeAngleo wasn't off to a slower start this year than the past 2 seasons (the ones he emerged as an elite RB).

Tampa is ranked 30th in run defense currently. lets hop Mike Goodson has a breakout game(which i think he will) I say he will have 110 rushing yards and 1 rushing TD

yeah, but Tampa isn't gonna have to worry about playing honest....which makes stopping the run for teams weak in that area a huge positive for them.

if clausen can step up and put a game on his shoulders, this is his time to show it

Jimmy could finish out the year and I see no reason to believe he can get a WR into the endzone once. Clasuen doesn't look like a promising rookie on a horrible team. He just looks horrible.

    • This is what I mean. I am not some huge BY fan. I honestly don't look at QBs the way a lot of you guys do. Right or wrong, I've always looked at them as just another cog in the machine. Didn't want BY or even a trade up for a QB in 2023. We saw in the Super Bowl how important the rest of the team is on any given Sunday. Now... so PFF, who has no reason to prop up BY, says he's first in 2 stat lines and Panthers "fans" are arguing why it's either wrong or a made up stat just to make BY look good. Even though they have multiple stat lines where he's literally last in. Like 32nd in the NFL. Some he's even lower than 32. Take a step back. Try to objectively self analyze. This is just not sensible.  Same thing I see with other teams' fans and their QBs though. We analyze every single throw on every single play. For every other QB, most here are only using highlights to judge. Makes a difference. We saw Stafford miss throws when they played Carolina - both games. We saw Love throw crap up when they played Carolina. We saw Dak miss throws when they played Carolina - and Pickens was putting on a SHOW. We saw Josh Allen win a game with 163 yards passing against Carolina, but if BY does it he's crap and can't pass for 200 yards. Gents... come on.
    • None of us think we're contenders this season but no reason we're doomed to 5 or 6 wins either. Dan has to have another 2025- like draft class and at least 2 key free agent signings. We're not Seattle but they don't win without 5 starters from their last 2 draft classes and Darnold and Lawrence in free agency.  Alas,  we'll have to wait one more season for a QB upgrade.
    • I've got nothing else to say really than: Ayup. Here we are again. Again.  All we can really hope for is progress. If we improve as much again, it'll be good. If we don't, it'll be foretold.
