Whatever happened to Gary Barnidge?

King is one of Fox's last vets, he'll start him and play him if he drops 1 every series. He is loyal to the vets to a fault. And that alone should get him fired.

And I don't see how Barnidge or Rosario could be any worse blocking , King has missed more than his share this year. He wiffs damn near as much as Garry Williams.

yeah king has got to go. i'm not just saying that because of this game but it's time. i'd love to see more of DR and GB anyways. DR has become somewhat reliable. i have a feeling we going to slowly abandon the run game anyways with a new coach.

Rosario is our best, most complete, TE. He blocks well, is athletic, lines up in multiple spots and is truly a jack of all trades player. I really wish they'd involve him more in the passing game on a consistent basis, but oh well.

King is essentially a lineman that runs routes. He had a bad game, who gives a poo. As long as it doesn't become a trend, which I highly doubt it will, he gets a pass from me. He's the perfect player for defenses to forget about and get burned at a crucial point in the game. He's made some clutch catches in the past and there's no reason to think he won't do it again. Overall he has a thankless job and it doesn't surprise me at all that people in this thread are jumping down his throat.

As for Barnidge I just don't know. The offense hasn't been clicking enough for the past 2 years to really give him a chance to prove himself. He was supposed to be a deep threat and a mismatch on LBers but it just hasn't come around.

This.

It's pathetic how ignorant our fanbase is. King has been solid for years. He has one bad game in a season when no one on our team is playing well and all the sudden he sucks cock and needs to be cut immediately.

i don't think he sucks all of a sudden, i just think DR and GB help the passing game more. we've got to change our philosophy and adapt with the rest of the nfl if we want to compete. but it's almost obvious that we'll run the ball when he's on the field. he just can't stretch the field like the others can. he is usually reliable though...just had an off day. no big deal imo.

King is solid, and he doesn't suck. He did have a very bad game though, but hey, who hasn't this year?

That being said, on a normal NFL team, he would not be starting. That would be Dante or Barnidge, or both over King (except for running plays).

Depending on whom our new coach is, our #2 WR may be one of our TE's, that's something to be excited about in the future, right?

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
