Anyone else just ready for a new start?

I'm beginning to wonder about this possibility. I don't believe that Fox is the one who wanted to let all of these assistent coaches leave for other jobs.

The thing is though, if Fox is gone, you have to believe that Hurney will go with him.

Honestly, this is all insane to me. You would think the Panthers just went 4-12 instead of 12-4. IMO, you don't clean house because of one game, which was mainly lost because of the QB in the first place. Hell, even the Steelers and Ravens defenses would have an extremely hard time overcoming 6 turnovers in the play offs.

How can it not be a down season in 09 ?

Panthers will be playing

Giants

Cards

Eagles

Cowboys

Dolphines

Pats

Jets

Falcons

Saints

Redskins

Bills

Bucs

1- Completely new defensive Coaches

That will be learning players and installing a new defensive scheme 4-3 or

3-4.

B/C bend don't break has been EXPOSED

2- How will this effect scouting this week ,with less eyes ?

3-With or without Peppers

4-With or without Gross

But it is a great time to start over on defense with that schedule

Fox is mad, about his boys getting the shaft from the front office. If he's mad enough it might make him leave on his own. I doubt it but it's still a possibility.

Well that is the point isn't it?

Supposedly THE PANTHERS DIDN'T CLEAN HOUSE.

Those guys left a 12-4 team on their own(allegedly), so what the fug does that say?

Are they poo holes or money grabbers for wanting a better opportunity?(you guys say Peppers is)

Do they hate it here? Does Fox meddle too much?

The loss was real big, but what else is there?

Maybe there is nothing more to it other than simply they got new jobs, but I really think more will come out.

Our defense got manhandled the last half of the year (when we played better teams) and has been getting worse almost yearly. True, 6 turnovers is hard to come by, but if our defense wasn't getting owned that whole game we possibly could have made a run.

These people were not fired. I don't know how you can conclude that Fox will be gone next when the other people were just not resigned and left for other positions.

They weren't under contract so it's kind of hard to fire them anyway. IMO, I think we just "let them go" so they could get jobs at other teams and not look as bad.

Exactly.. there's a difference. Besides, 2 got promotions. 1 got pretty much the same job. Trgo is inching towards Michigan, you'd think he went to GB in order to take over at Michigan once Rich Rodriguez proves how much of a tool he is. Get some "local" media consideration. Sunseri was known to want to get back in the college game. I don't think it's as bad as people are making it, rather than blaming Fox or the FO for them leaving, don't you think they would have aspirations to do other things?

Unless his season is huge next year he will be gone....when his contract runs out.

Until then he is going to be here and we are just going to have to hope for the best.

I have resigned myself, yet again, to another year of Fox. He is here, I want us to win. I am going to have to back him and hope that he can pull it off next year. This year was much better than the previous two and I have little reason to believe that we can't improve on this years performance. We may not get to be #2 seed next year because we have a tougher schedule but we will have a stronger team.

our defense had a slow leak....all season long.

If JR does not fire Fox, that mean he doesn't care to bring his Panthers club to a next level. I will lose faith in him since then.

I don't know if you noticed, but Richardson is sort of fighting for his life right now. And he has always tried to do what's best for this organization.

Were it not for Mr. Richardson, you wouldn't even have this team to lose faith in.
