what would the panthers record be if delhomme had been starting all season?

obviously a necessary move to cut delhomme and head in a different direction, but it's ironic to think that if a delhomme-caliber player was out there in free agency right now, the entire huddle would be chomping at the bit to bring him in and provide a measure of leadership and stability at the quarterback position.

how times change :out:

Delhomme is only part of what's missing. If McCoy was still here, and Delhomme was here, then I suspect we would be flirting with a winning record right now. He would still be throwing INTs, but his presence would really help the running game, and I don't believe it's a stretch to see us with three more wins than we have now.

Lol. Yeah...he really would have helped. He wouldn't have had any time with the receivers due to steve smith being out in pre season, and the rotation of the other guys. With the oline failing to execute the first half of the season, he would have pressed..throwing at least as many interceptions. His ability to hold onto the ball to long, combined with his inability to throw the ball away, would translate to more lost yardage due to sacks, and he had been hurt within the first month of the season.

But thank you for bringing up this priceless "what if"

Yet more bs that a blind man can shoot down.

Damn Pantherclaw u seem to have been in a bad mood for the last year huh?

Lol

No bad mood at all.

In fact I'm laughing at every ignorant statement that gets thrown around on here.

Delhomme would have helped. On what planet?

Its the owners fault. For lack of execution, and injuries? Really!

Its foxes fault. Once again, coaches and owners don't play. Fox and company (as much as I dislike davidson) are coaching these guys up as much as possible. The players are still making mistakes. The team just isn't good enough to overcome the mistakes that are being made due to the lack of execution.

poo happens. Its still happening. And all the majority can do is throw poo at the wall, and see what sticks.

But if ya can't laugh at the poo that gets said around here, then the alternative is accepting how little panther fans know and understand about the game of football.

    • Dude you're all over the place. Bryce definitely played better than average down the stretch last year. That's what I said. I dont think it's controversial, and I think it's true based both on stats and by actually watching him play. He was the 6th rated passer by PFF during the last 8 weeks. In no world is that below average You trying to twist this into something else is a you thing.  Have a great night
    • Exactly He's played two seasons and started 28 games. He's well beyond the point of being able to point to 2 or 3 games and being able to say, "THAT is the QB he is and will be in the future" Of course he can get there, but anyone trying to use just those couple of games to rank his place amongst the games QB's today and their full career's worth of playing at that level, is just asinine. Mahomes, Allen, Lamar, Burrow, Hurts, Herbert, Daniels, Stafford, Goff, Geno, Purdy, Baker, Love, Dak, Tua, Kyler, Lawrence That's 17 QB's right there that have played better over their careers than Bryce has played at his best.  And I'm not saying they're all studs or guys I'd want to be our QB moving forward, Tua for example I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, but his body of work is a million times better than Bryce's has been. It's also not including any of the other QB's drafted in 2023/2024 other than Daniels. So again, say you believe in Bryce, say you think he's going to prove he can and should be our QB of the future, that's all fair and totally fine. But nobody can say he's been an above average QB in his career thus far, it's just an asinine notion.
