I'd rather take this guy than some workout warrior who never had 2+ sacks in an entire season let alone a game.

To be fair, he did smoke the agility drills at the combine.

Blowing it will be drafting a mediocre pass rusher at #8 and that's the way we seem to be leaning.  Blowing it seems to be inevitable, actually, now I think about it.

Who do you want at 8?

You guys need to stop acting like asking football-related questions on a football message board is "moronic." And, honestly, there's not a lot of poo for us to discuss anyway. Aren't some of you tired of beating the same ol' dead horses? I know that, as Panthers fans, we've been sucked into a vortex of general  dead horse narratives anyway, but giving canned, dead horse responses doesn't exactly add anything constructive to the atmosphere.

A difference maker every down, not a situational pass rusher.  The most Panther thing we can do is draft Brian Burns 2.0--anywhere from 0-2 splash plays of production a game.

In no particular order, I want (realistically may still available at #8): Warren, Tet or Graham (a 3 down D-lineman)

What’s your reasoning?

In a WAY trade back, then possibly.  I'm talking around pick #20.  We had better get a massive haul for moving back that far though.  Knowing us, it will be for like 3rd and a conditional 7th.

I mean, "massive haul?" That's subjective. If we picked up an extra 1 and a 2, that'd be pretty good.

There's no questioning his athletic traits. There's nothing but questions about his actual football abilities though. His film is littered with plays where he gets around or through the blocker immediately just to run around (very fast) aimlessly all the whole having a clear path to the ball. His film screams "amazing athlete who just isn't a football player".

If he's a RAS warrior (minus the height), then you know Morgan's gibblets are all tingly.

    • Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft
    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
