People really need to stop with this Stewart TD poo. How is it not legit? He threw it to Stewart and then #28 crossed the goalline. He should get credit for taking advantage of a blown coverage - that's how most QBs earn their pay cheques.

most QBs don't earn their paychecks scrambling b/c of slight pressure and bailing out on play......then noticing that the defense forgot about the RB and left him open a mile from the nearest defender. It was a gift and Clausen took it. Considering THAT is his resume.....how is that legit.

Some people call it a nasty habit, I call it maturity and poise. Of course you want your QB to throw the ball away when no one is open! It's common sense! The other times he throws it away is when the O-Line implodes and he's flushed out of the pocket. However he does get happy feet and sometimes leaves the pocket prematurely. It's most likely mental though. He's scared the pocket will cave in like it always does. Smart kid, he must of figured that out early.

I agree too though with that point. He's been very cautious but I respect that out of a rookie to not turn the ball over. I don't get much if any of the Clausen criticisms. People are being way too impatient.

If the other offensive variables hold from the last two weeks I think we should expect points though. He looks ready to take the next step.
