Everyone was hypin him up but when it came time to draft not one of the teams took him but we fell for the trap

how the hell do these dudes tell how trash quinn and clausen are? His Notre Dame games made him look like a god

Mel Kiper isn't a scout for a NFL team.

Every team in the NFL passed on Clausen and some did it a couple times before Carolina picked him.

MEL KIPER man, same guy who hyped Jamarcus Russell and Ryan Leaf into being superstars. He was taking money from players agents and hyping them so they would get a fatter contract. Marty Hurney is so stupid he tried to trade up and get JImmy in the first. Which pick do you think we would have lost if someone would have traded with us? Fire this idiot. This all came out last offseason, how does no one know?

    • well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
    • All that being the case or maybe being the case, we do not know Wharton’s timetable n the first place. They are being coy about it. Or maybe not. They say week to week the board says he is terminal lol and must be replaced. Who knows? It may or may not warrant a fairly drastic solution.  Walker is a bargain and we are not well stocked at OL despite recent investments. Freeling has yet to have a single padded practice. Too much speculation driving this plan IMO.
    • I would really love to know who’s actually making these moves because it’s weirdly vague who’s doing the hiring and firing.
